Hey, I filled my application out this spring and here is what I did:

  • I-129F - Questions that did not apply, I left blank
  • G325A - Questions that did not apply, I wrote "none"
  • For my current address on the G325A I wrote "Present Time" for the end date at the address
  • For the cover letter I used middle initial
  • On both letters of intent I used full name with middle names
  • For evidence, I think others are right that your situation is different. For me I felt the key thing they are looking for is something that proves you met... Maybe the documentation that he was stationed there plus photos and whatever else you guys have. For me, we did the boarding passes and pictures together plus chat and email histories.

Good luck. At worst you will just get an RFE and have to send in any additional info, but it sounds like you should be all good.

When I submitted my package I gave them way more evidence than they probably needed, but I had it so I figured why not send it. My application was over 100 pages in the end. I have heard of others being much more light with evidence and being successful too. The main thing is to meet those minimal requirements, which you do.

I stressed so much about this stuff before I submitted. I feel your pain!

Good luck!

Ok!! That makes sense. I'm guessing a copy of orders should probably do it in that case! As I've been to the states 3 times this year and once last year after he left, it wouldn't hurt adding those boarding passes. I have terrible handwriting so is it ok to type up the the attached Q34a?

Sure include your visits to the US. A few photos together is always nice If you want to tell a little background of how you got together or when you decided to marry, type it on a blank page with the Form number, question number, and Petitioner's name (the US person who sends the petition) at the top of the page. It does not have to be long. That one sentence covers the requirements, but many like to tell a story. Don't write a novel. I am a minimalist having seen the whole picture of fiancé petition to US citizen. It is easier to separate requirements from goopy fluff from that vantage point of experience. But you don't have to believe me any more than somebody else. Try to be logical about the objective and do the best application after reading the instructions.

When you're all shiny new at this, it is easy to get overwhelmed by differing responses. Keep in mind you lived in the same country and speak the same language and your consulate in London doesn't even want further evidence of your relationship when you go interview. Each consulate is different. Prove firstly that you met in person, not that you Skype 12 hours a day or posted "in a relationship" on Facebook, or mail each other valentines. My theory is if you send too much fluff, they might miss the important stuff or pass over your giant file in favor of one they can go through quickly. "Oh this looks easy. I'll do it before lunch. That giant file can wait until next week. I have a headache". :P

And always read every word on the instructions of every form. Bookmark the forms page on USCIS http://www.uscis.gov/forms where you will always find the most current form, instructions, and often additional information about a form from USCIS.

You were right earlier, you are overthinking it. Most of it is common sense and i think it's highly unlikely that you would get an RFE for writing None instead of leaving it blank, that said if that's the instructions just do what they say.

Read the guides, read the instructions for the forms. once you have sent that lot start looking at the US embassy London web site and get familiar with that stuff.

The way I did it was while one lot of paperwork was away being processed I was getting familiar with the next bit. Both mine and my wifes handwriting is dreadful and we never got an RFE, so far anyway.

Don't worry, it's not that hard.

I keep getting confliciting views when it comes to filling in questions that have no answeres. On both, I-129F and G-325A, if the question does not apply (e.g current Husband/Wife) shall we leave this blank or write 'None'?

YOU CAN WRITE N/A OR NONE. BOTH WORKS!

For the section titled 'Applicant's last address outside the United States of more than 1 year.', on form G-325A, as I'm still residing at this address and I'll only leave if/when my K-1 comes through, do I leave 'Date to' blank or put this month and year (as this is when I'm filling it out)?

YOU SHOULD PUT "TO THIS DATE" OR "CURRENT ADDRESS" (IT'S IMPLICIT THAT YOU WILL LIVE THERE UNTIL YOUR PETITION IS APPROVE)

Do we (petitioner and benificiary) need to put our forenames, middle name(s) and surnames on the intent and cover letter, or will the forname and surname suffice?

YOU CAN USE BOTH: YOUR FULL NAME OR JUST NAME AND SURNAME

My Fiancé (the petitioner) is in the US Airforce and was stationed in England from 2011 - 2013. Will he need to show boarding passes from back then to show evidence he was here for us to meet? How much detail do I need to give for Q 34a on I-129F?

WHATEVER IT PROOF THAT YOU WERE BOTH IN THE SAME PLACE TOGETHER, IT DOESNT HAS TO BE BOARDING PASS ONLY, YOU CAN ALSO USE RECEIPTS FROM HOTEL, HOSTALS, RESTAURANTS, PICTURE OF THE 2 OF YOU TOGETHER, ETC ETC

You can always check the guidelines (type step by step how to submit k1 visa here in visajourney) it's super simple... for the i129f you need just a certain amount of proof..try to keep the best ones for the interview. In my case I only sent 10 pictures, a few emails, few copies of boarding passes and phone calls receipts. For my interview, they didn't request to see any proof

In our case, On G-325A, just wrote "None" if not applicable to you.

On I-129F, " just leave blank if not applicable to you. That's the instruction.

On the Intent to Marry Letter and Cover Letter, I wrote the complete name (first name, middle name and surname)

For the G-325A applicant's date of residing on the "To" box, I put the same date when I signed the form.

Show boarding pass as one of the proof that you met in person.

And for question 34, You write how did you met each other the first time until you met in person and just put a little details your activities when you met, example: We met online last (date and place) then met in person on (write date and place), then went to different places together or introduced my family...things like that, so depends on you on how you explain. They just like to see how the relationship started and the progress...

So Good luck to your journey.
