The days are long for me, too! I was transferred and still no word so we're all in the same boat. I think I am on this website too much.

At the risk of inviting some more cheery-eyed happy-clappies who can only see the world as bright and beautiful -- and tell you to be patient, because our time is coming -- or worse, threaten to pray for us....I will agree with you.

The grass is not that green on the other side, after all. The lack of accountability in public services is a global malaise. America is no exception. Heigh ho.

Transferring doesn't necessarily help... our NOA1 date is 9 April and we were transferred after I contacted my representative on August 11 (when TSC was processing Dec petitions). Now, almost a month later, I found out that CSC transferred it straight back to TSC on 11 August! Don't know what on Earth is going on between those offices, but if they're spending the application fees on transfers, no wonder they can't afford to hire enough people to process petitions....

How were you notified of the transfer back to TSC? If it was the website and an automated e-mail that you received yesterday, ignore it. We all got that notice. It's a system error. If you received a hard copy, well then uggh.

I really hope that you're right and that is true for my case! My congressman's office has been following up on my case behind the scenes, apparently - USCIS haven't responded to them directly at all. Since he called them this Monday I assumed that the notification of transfer was the result of his queries. I did call up the customer service number and was told that it's at TSC, so either all of their records for me are buggered, or I was actually rebuffed from CSC... Difficult to even know where to start with chipping away at the frustration on this one.

Hooray for the bureaucratic filtration of human relationships, eh?

Call the customer service number again and see if you get the same answer. My gut tells me you'll get a different answer. Did you speak to a tier 1 or tier 2 person?

Tier 1, but she went and had to spend about half of the conversation checking up on her answers because it was obviously not clear cut... will chase and update

OMG, I'm going crazy not knowing what on Earth is going on at TSC. Why have the approvals gotten so slow - even slower than pre-transfers, if that was even possible! In the last 10 days or so I just saw 2 filers from March who got approved. What about the others in March -- not to mention the Jan/Feb ones. And us leftovers from April and May?? :ranting:

Thank you for the tip on trying again with Tier 2 staff - They were able to confirm that the system spat out a load of false notifications recently, and he phoned up CSC to confirm the location of my petition. I'll hear from them in writing within 2 weeks about where it is. Apparently Tier 1 staff only see the same information that is available to us (i.e. the database decided my petition was in TSC, and sent me my notification. Then, when I asked, the Tier 1 staff member consulted the same database). For the moment, looks like it was a single transfer, not a transfer and bounce back. I will reserve excitement or frustration for when I have the actual notification letter.

Thanks again for the heads up about the database issues!
