Hello everyone! Anyone can help me please.

I just came here in America through k1 or fiancé visa. We just got married few weeks ago and now we are preparing my application for adjusting my status to permanent residence. Right now we already filled out form I-485 and I-765. I would like to ask you guys what other documents are we need to submit? Do I need to attached our marriage certificate/marriage license and other stuff like wedding photos, invitation and etc.

One more thing I would like to know also what is the requirement for the application of temporary work permit. We want to apply my adjusting status and my work permit at the same time. How long is the processing time?

Thank you very much guys!

Follow this guide for AOS > http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

The fees for the I-765(EAD-work authorization) and I-131(AP-advance parole for travel) are waived when filed with a pending I-485, so include both of those too. It takes about 60-90 days to receive the EAD/AP combo card, which will allow you to work(along with an SSN) and re-enter the US when traveling abroad while waiting for the green card approval.

You need all the supporting documents for each form as well, so read the instructions for each one. You can also search here on VJ for what to include with each form if you get stumped. There are also example forms here on VJ you can look at when filling out the forms. They can be helpful.

Oh, and here are the details you need about whether or not you need to see a civil surgeon > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/428381-i-693-report-of-medical-examination-and-vaccination-report/?p=6206232

Print out your I-94 info > https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html

Read the guides which are summarised above, also read this forum, there's loads of stuff. it's not difficult to do yourself. Make sure the forms are the latest and read the instructions for each form and do what they say.

Treat each one as a separate issue even though you will send the whole lot of together, there will be duplication of material but it's just some more copies.

I had 3 piles of paper on the table, one for each of 485, 765 and 131, if they all ask for a document then they all got it. Not 1 to share.

Make sure you send it recorded delivery so you know it got there as it can take a while to get official notice, then wait,........... a lot.
