2014/04/21: USCIS received

2014/04/23: NOA1 received

2014/10/15 : got approval (NOA2)

2014/11/12: got case number through phone to NVC

2014/11/20: submit DS 160.

2014/11/21 : pay for visa fee.

2014/11/21: account active for booking.

2015/01/14 : INTERVIEW - APPROVED

Hey there - do we need to fill in the form 160 online for the London consulate? We still don't have an NVC number. I tried to call yesterday but it was busy. He is getting vaccinations and doing all the paperwork he can in the meantime, but the London consulate page says to have "160 form digitalized".

That's all online. You can't fill out any of that until you have your LND number.

Hi everyone, I got my official NOA2 on 10/17/14 in the mail. Im a bit lost as to what happens next. will I receive another letter letting me know that my paper work have been sent to the consulate in Ghana? and from what im understanding this is taking 3 weeks or am I missing a step? Also my prayers going out to all who is still waiting. I understand the wait is hard but hang on guys an we will get prayers going up that good news will come this week. Its like we all are a family because we have been through this struggle together.

Hi,

So the next step is for USCIS to send your case over to the National Visa Center in New Hampshire whom will then send it along to the consulate in Ghana. It seems to be taking anywhere from 3 weeks to almost 1 month to make it to NVC. But about 2-3 weeks after your approval I would say call NVC and see if they have received it. And if received, ask for your case number. That way you can track it through ceac.state.gov without having to call NVC again to find out if it's been sent to the embassy. NVC will also send you a letter once the file has been shipped out to the consulate. In the meantime, you can start preparing documents and other things that will be needed for the interview.
