I'm still a bit confused about this. I don't know what I need to do. I keep hearing that all I need is the stamp but when I'm filling out the paperwork it asks for the I-94 number?

My husband came over here from England in 2004 and has overstayed since then. His passport stamp says the date he entered and the date he was suppose to leave, also it's stamped with a WT.

Do I need to get a copy of his I-94 or will a copy of the passport stamp do? He don't even remember having a piece of paper in his passport he says?

Thanks again for the help!!

You could go to the CBP website and enter his information that he used in 2004--I.E. passport number at time of entry and see if it happens to pull up an I-94. I can pull up my wife's entry in 2010 using her name, DOB, and passport information. I have not tried the 2008 or 2009 information as she had a different passport number at that time and we do not have it. So when the CBP made the I-94 electronic, they may allow you to search for previous visits. There is a travel history button and a most recent I-94 button. Since his most recent I-94 is when he arrived in 2004 it might come up.

Give it a whirl.

Dave

P. S. just noticed in the FAQ that they only go back 5 years. So "Never Mind".
