I see you received 'that' email the day before me and got to pay your IV fee today - my turn tomorrow mebbe!! (Bizarrely enough I'm not overly concerned about speeding things along at the moment as I don't want an interview date to come up whilst I'm making the most of the VWP for one last time)

Just wanted to share some news too.....

I called NVC this morning and spoke with a lovely rep (Sandy). She confirmed for me that our paperwork was reviewed on 04/16 (scan date 03/12) and all was good with it!! But the checklist for the IV fees set us back a little..... and as of now as soon as they review the DS260 we're done :) :)

Yay!! :) :)

I figure I will be calling at least once a week (if I can restrain myself....lol) and gently ask "has the DS260 been reviewed yet?" LOL :)

I was happy today to see that I could finally pay the IV fee Devonian. Now I have to wait to finally fill out the DS260 form. How does that work? Do I get an email to fill it out or it becomes available online when the IV fee shows up as "paid"?

I paid the IV fee for all three cases (me & daughters) on Tuesday morning (the 21st) around 10 am (EST)...... I logged into the CEAC site Wednesday night (around 9 pm?) and was surprised that the forms were available for all three of us..... I was expecting 3-5 business days.....

So just keep checking......

Hi Dear!!!

Ahhhh well.. The Great was right in that we did not get good news out of the second eRequest. Husband has an infopass appointment on the 30th. We are at 8 months and 20 days with no news of the status of our background checks, other than they are pending.

This is beyond sad, it has put a lot of strain on our relationship but we have managed to accept it and move on with our lives as they are now.

The lawyer replied to us a week after we told her what our "updates" on the case were. Yes, they had the nerve to send us an email with the subject line: "Any Updates?"

Unfortunately, at this stage, our options are very limited. Although the normal processing time for I-130s is 6 months, many petitions exceed that window. If the petition is pending for about 16 or so months, we could sue the government for their delay.

You can try reaching out to your Congressional representative. You can call him or her and show him or her a copy of the petition that was filed.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I asked her if she had any suggestions for the Infopass appointment... and moreover, if she could send us the copy of the final petition they sent after they first one was sent plagued with errors by one of their paralegals. I doubt she will take a look at our email before Apr 30th.

I don't want to sound gloomy or snappy.. but i just wanted to share in hopes this serves someone else in our shoes. Hopefully not that many are going through this endless wait in the USCIS limbo!

So.. long story short.. no updates other than an Infopass appointment coming up, a trip to SF to see my husband if we can find an appartment until May 15 or so... and a business trip in August to DFW...

I would go crazy if I didnt have a job, a cat or family and friends to support me. I really think about these things when I get mad at my husband. He is doing everything in his power and he is there missing me, the cat and all the family that loves him. :clock:

27-FEB-2015 Paid AOS fee
04-MAR-2015 AOS fee Deducted from Bank
16-MAR-2015 Mailed AOS & "Supporting Documents" (IV package)
23-MAR-2015 NVC sent email confirming they received my package
20-APR-2015 NVC sent a choice of agent form checklist?? missing...odd
20-APR-2015 Called NVC rep checked DS-261 form, yay finally!!
23-APR-2015 Received IV invoice through email but cant pay online yet... :cry:
27-APR-2015 Finally Paid IV fee
04-MAY-2015 Submitted DS-260 form
16-JUN-2015 Supervisor Review (they are so inadequate ..grrr)

23-SEPT-2015 Interview!! - They asked for a joint sponsor - received hated 221g form (at least it wasn't a "NO")
25-NOV-2015 Finally sent the documents required with 221g form...
30-NOV-2015 They updated my case file on CEAC but still reads "Admin Processing"..(crossing fingers)

14-DEC-2015 They "touched" and update my case file at the embassy, still under AP

28-DEC-2015 They touched my file again...still under AP

29-DEC-2015 !!!! VISA ISSUED - According to CEAC site...yay!! (now waiting to see when we can pick up)
