August 2014 AOS filers

I have been stuck in Testing and Interview since November 4th. The website says "If you do not receive your interview notice by December 4, 2014, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice." But I also want to call! Lol. I have been very anxious and ready to get this process over with!

Go do that but also call. I always call USCIS whenever I have opportunity (LOL). I feel that it helps. Most of the times I call I get some movement. Give us an update.

Congratulations!

So frustrating! We received the I-797C yesterday but guess what? The uscis letter postmark is the same date as our interview appointment date. So yes we missed our interview!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! ??????

We contacted them with regards to this, and they reported it to the uscis local office here and said that we will wait for a response from 15-30 days, if not we have to call them back.

Another thing that frustrates me is that for almost a month now, I could not see the updates of my application on their website. I called and I was told that I have to wait 4 months until they will look unto my application. So I was so happy when we got the letter yesterday but when I looked down to see appointment date, I was burst into tears coz I could not believe that it was actually last week. ??????

I am still hopeful that they will re-schedule our interview soon....

Any update on this? That had to have been the most upsetting letter to receive. I'm sorry.

Hi tina and johan. The re-scheduling of our interview is being process in the uscis local office in here but another 60-90 days Again of waiting. ? stressfull but hoping that they will re-schedule it sooner than that. Thank you :-)

Omg I'm so frustrated. We got his EAD and I had typed 3/18 instead of 3/16 on the damn papers and no one caught it at biometrics or RFE. I can't believe I messed up the paperwork after I spent so much time looking and looking at it for errors. We were so excited when we got the email he was getting one, and now it's like omg do we have to pay to have this resubmitted since it's our fault about the typo? Cash is short and everything else was right ugh /facepalm I've been trying to look on here, but no one ever updated their information when they had typos similarly

What is that date? Did it hold up your EAD? I'm not understanding your post.

I had typed his birthday wrong on the paperwork for the EAD but it's fine every where else in his AOS. But it's stamped promently on the actual Employment Card as the wrong Bday. I typed 3/18 for his bday on that form and not 3/16 which is his bday. My slip up typo means we may have to pay for the paperwork to be resubmitted and wait longer.

Got an update today (they always update on Fridays)! Our interview is scheduled for January 8. I was hoping for a December interview but I think I should not complain anymore. So happpyyyy! Hope that there is no rescheduling.

Hi, Im from Nashville too. Sorry to hear about such mistake. Let me ask you a "dumb" question- how much do you need the EAD right now? Is he working right now and will affect his employment? I think you might not need to reapply if you will get your green card soon anyway (at least hopefully in January) especially if the process of correcting it will also take a long time *(and plus the additional fee). The GC will ovrride the EAD anyways (hope you get your interview sched soon!) so you can weigh in your options. I hope USCIS will not charge you anything for a correction (Im crossing my fingers for you).

I don't think getting a job would be a problem.. when I was under DACA they put my first name twice instead of first name middle name.. so instead of Jean Arring Grey I was Jean Jean Grey. I still got jobs I just explained the error on the ead to my employer.. i think it was USCIS error but I b ever got it fixed because there really wasn't a pressing need to.

My wife and I were in the same boat. Our online status said that if we did not receive a notice by Nov 28th, to submit a e-request. So I sent that request in, was given a receipt no,, but didn't hear anything further.

I ended up calling USCIS yesterday and was told that my request has been "was assigned to an officer for response" and we may not hear anything for another 6-8 weeks. Sounds crazy sketchy to me..

congrats! My interview is in a month... I will be happy for everyone here to be able to get the GC soon.
