Received email this morning, saying that I have been scheduled an interview date for Dec 12th.

Yay- good luck!

well, with as long as this is taking, we're both sorta feeling like why did we secretly get married, not telling friends and family, so that he could get back to work? Thankfully, I got this for awhile, I can support us, but there will be a time in the not-too-distant future that it'll become a serious problem. His savings are running out. on the upside, I haven't had to do laundry since the end of July. :dancing: hahaha (if I wasn't laughing, I'd be crying!)

I know the feeling...but you're right, not having to do laundry has been the silver lining :)

Card in hand!!!

Ugh there's a wrinkle!

I just received a letter via snail mail of USCIS wanting prof to expedite my case. This letter was printed at 9 am 11/03. I got the card production email at like 12.

Should I respond? I'm super confused.

What is the point of that Customer Service line. Those people know nothing and they wouldn't transfer me to someone who knows something. I asked the lady if I should respond and she was all that's up to you.. idk. Make an infopass appt.

Seriously?! What exactly is the point of you!??!?!?

No, they didn't reply to the service request. It just happened. Not sure if it was because I submitted a service request. I hope you get yours soon! I know a couple of other people are nearing or past the 90 days mark. It is truly mind boggling how they process these. I previously read (from a post by a former USCIS processor) that there is no order, but the older ones are supposed to be processed before the new one because the batches of applications come in and then they gets picked up by a case worker (or whatever their title is) to process and as those are finished, they go back to get a new batch. Additionally, they have quotas per say so it's in their best interest to quickly process a file and not lolly gag.

Update!! Had my interview today at New Orleans Office at 10:20. Showed up at the place where the interview was scheduled in Metairie( 2424 Edenborn Ave) 10 mins early just to go up to third floor and see that the offices have been moved to Poydras Ave deep in New Orleans. My wife and I jumped in the truck and "rushed" to the new office. Close to the Superdome oh what a joy traffic was. We made it 10 mins after the official time and checked in. We placed appointment letter at window the guard instructed us to. The IO came out shortly (idk how she knew) however she called my name after 2 mins in waiting room. We went in and were sworn in immediately. Here are interview details:

She double checked my answers on my I-485 application. Asking me full name, DOB, address basically everything on the 485 sheet.

She then if that was my signature on the 485. She did that same thing for the 130 for my wife.

She then asked if we had any more documentation showing more commingling however we did not. We had no bills no lease agreement nor insurance policies. We did provide a photo book of us throughout the years.

She asked a few non personal questions: how did we meet? Where did we meet? When did we decide to get married? Who proposed? She then started talking about me being approved for my green card throughout the conversation. She Said my card will be received in 30 days. Told us about the conditional timeline of the green card and when to file update.

We were out in less than 10 mins total from swearing in to leaving out the door. On the way back to our car I received update through email saying case was updated. I am soooooo happy. Waiting on tracking number now and glad this is over in less than 3 months.

Congratulations to everyone who got approved for green card and EAD. Praying and hoping rest of us get approved soon.

I second this! :) Last night I constantly dreamt about EAD approval emails coming in and also about him meeting up with the guy who keeps saying he wants to hire him, then stalls out on the process. NOT a great night's sleep. :(
