My mom(petitioner) just a lpr for over 2 years and now she got Medicaid in another state. I am really nervous, can it be a problem to make my visa be denied since lpr use mean test public?

If yes, can my co sponsor pay back to approve?

As I understand it you can get Medicaid in NYS.

If elsewhere the cost would become an issue if she used it.

Some states let LPR's with less than 5 years receive state funded medicaid. Regular medicaid doesn't fall under the "public charge" category for USCIS. Also it's your mother that is receiving it and that would not affect your petition or visa in any way. What it would affect is her being your only sponsor. If she is in a medicaid expansion state, she can make up to 138% of the federal poverty level and still qualify for medicaid. So as long as her income is above 125% she wouldn't need a joint sponsor. If it's below that, she would need a joint sponsor in order to meet the income requirements.
