Interview on August 12,went smoothly,long waiting time but in the end its all worth it! APPROVED!!!!!! just waiting to get visa on hand then book flight to UT!Thanks to everyone whom i kept bugging about questions during my journey..this forum is full of informative and good people who are always ready to help....God Bless us all!

Funny story, and WAY , I took German in college because they wanted to place me in Spanish 3 because I took 2 years of Spanish in high school - 10 years prior!!

I use the wrong der/die/das, ein/eine/einen all the time, but I know the most important question of all in German: Sprechen Sie Englisch?

Husband is going to pick up now. He just got off from his 16-hr work shift. Then, went to the hospital, to bring home his father, (he had surgery a few days ago). He is so exhausted, (awake for 23 hours now), but if he does not pick up it now, it will be forwarded to the next destination, (a town closer to his house), and the wait will be until Sunday and he can pick up then. We do not want to wait any longer. The ticket prices are crazy expensive. Our wait has been long enough, PD is March 29, 2013!!!!!

Also, he told me that the Israelis are randomly denying ppl exit to Jordon, (228 ppl denied in July). Yesterday, a family friend was denied exit and he had tickets to France, w a connection in Romania. He has a visitor's visa. I hope the exit denial stipulations are not really random, but based on a criteria, that does not include immigrant visa holders!!!! I called the airline. The rep said if he is denied exit, we can change the ticket, but the cost to change a ticket is $150 - 200, or we can buy an open ticket. He made sure to say the open ticket cost is quite expensive. !!!!!! Why so many possible obstacles????!!!!!

Heaven sake this needs to be a documentary. Why why must you endure so much. Oh don't know to get a tissue or some popcorn. This adventure has me spellbound.

I am praying daily for God's covering over your husband and family and no detaining, denial of passage nothing. Hubby is coming home dang it. Don't make me get all Commando and go get him now. I will.

Visa In hand :joy: after 3 business days from my visa approval.My interview was on 6 august.Consular gave me 7-10 days but i received it after 3 business days. :joy:

But he said it says

upon endorsement serves as temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residence for 1 year

What does that mean??? Anyone know? Is there something else we need to do?

My man made me a video of the Frankfurt airport. You will be happy to know there is free coffee from fancy vending machines. Make sure you take advantage of that. Oh! and free newspapers.

My interview was scheduled for September 29 in Hong Kong and my senator's immigration liaison requested an earlier interview. I've just been reassigned to August 20. Awesome news, but ... my medical results won't be ready to collect until August 22. I'm going to call the Doc's tomorrow to see if I can collect the results on the 19th. Hope I can!

NVC says that they were unable to give me a date for September based on the limited staff at the consulate...what?! That's the first time I've received that answer.

BTW, that was unprompted, I simply asked for an update....

I asked when one would be scheduled and she said they don't know.
