30 BUSINESS DAYS

I just called NVC to check the status of our case and I ONLY got the usual, " Yes we receive it on this date and the next move will be in 30 days business days". So if he is right, it will take 30 business days to invoice DS261, another 30 business days for the AOS, another 30 business days for the Civil Documents, another 30 business days for the DS260, another 30 business days to forward it to the NVC. That is equivalent to 7.5 months OR 30 weeks. :ranting::girlwerewolf2xn:

I'm still hoping he is wrong.

Yes, it is taking a while for them. This is how it has been going for us: almost 30 days from receiving the case until we got DS-261 and AOS invoiced, then almost 30 days again before we got invoiced for the DS-260. We submitted it along with the IV package about 2 weeks ago and now we're expecting having to wait another 30 days for the case to be completed. So far we're already almost 10 months into the process.

Hang on tight. Hopefully it will be over soon. Best of luck!

True! 6 months from filing, CR2 and IR2, we just completed mailing the civil documents. We got two checklists for aos. Waiting for another 30 business days for case complete hopefully. Another checklist, another 30 business days. Thats how it goes. Goodluck to us :)

CR1 rather, not CR2. My mistake. Lol

Yup good luck to US!

We got excited when USCIS approved us pretty quickly, but the excitement has been long gone since our case has just been sent to the NVC. Can't wait to get this over with!

Nothing yet. Were waiting for the 30 business days mark since we resubmitted the aos coz we got checklist. That would be like 3rd week of august then we will call and ask if we have the case complete. Let's hope for the best.

Oh my gosh, I am on business day 38 for my IV invoice and NVC are all but refusing to review it. I know and appreciate they are backlogged, but other people who filed the DS-261 after us got their invoices within 30 business days, even getting supervisors to unlock it while they're on the phone to them. The one and only time we were granted permission to speak to an almighty supervisor, she refused to help. It was put under supervisor review on Monday and the agent said it will be reviewed by today. Well, it hasn't been, so thanks for nothing.

Thankfully, I'm attempting to visit my husband in a couple of weeks. I was going to just wait for the visa, but the projected timeframe for completion seems a very, very long time away, and I haven't seen him since August last year when we got married. I don't even care if the border give me hassle, I am literally desperate to even get five minutes of time with him.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 28th 2016: Package delivered

October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I feel you - i see some people who gets updated waaaayyy faster than some of us. Only NVC knows why.

I need tons of patience - anybody know where can I buy it in bulk? Costco, maybe? :jest:

30 Business days from PAYING your AoS fees you should be notified that you can pay your IV fees. That is how it went for me. One day later I paid the fee and the following business day it was approved and we were able to submit the IV document. We electronically filed all the supporting documents straight away too.

That's how it should be, but a lot of us have been waiting longer. It's my 40th business day tomorrow and they've forgotten about us.

"Should" - looks like NVC have slowed down lately for some reason. I've seen a lot here where it only took around 10 business days to get updates between each actions.
