My dog is scared of the vacuum  Runs upstairs when I am doing the downstairs, downstairs when I am doing the up and waits like a chicken until the horrible machine is gone.

Mine, too, although the little one first charges it and barks then runs away. I'm pretty sure if I tried to vaccum either one of them they'd pass out from sheer fright.

How can one claim God cares to judge a fornicator over judging a lying, conniving bully? I guess you would if you are the lying, conniving bully.

I'm not a dog person myself. Mohamed likes dogs and talks about wanting one. I do not want one! My experience with friends' dogs is...they poop in the house if you don't let them out regularly, they stink when their fur/hair is wet, they beg for food, etc. No offense to dog ppl but dogs are just too dirty and just too much work for me. I prefer cats but they can be a pain in the ####### as well. Mohamed is NOT a cat person. I have a kitty which Mohamed said he'll tolerate because of the kids.

Wadi wants a rottweiler. I do not like big, scary dogs. Furthermore, he wants to allow it inside, insisting that there's some kind of dog vacuum so that you vacuum the dog before he comes inside so he doesn't stink everything up. Um, yeah, I can just see now who's gonna be doing that! Dog vacuuming, pfft. Can you tell this has been an "issue" for us?

What is ti about men and big dogs? Okay i know its a generalization, but ....

we don't have to lean over to pet them like them little yap yap dogs that some women prefer :innocent:

Agreed about the yap yap dogs. Boy oh boy those things drive me nuts. :P If I had to have a dog it would be a large one for sure.

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

I have 2 Chihuahuas. They are outside during the day when it is not extremely cold outside and they sleep in a dog cage at night. They are bathed regulary, and I have a strict rule about them being anywhere near where I pray in the house regardless of how clean they are.

My husband agrees with this and is quite jealous he can't play with them yet since he is not here. He also wants a German Shepard when he gets here, but we're still hashing that one out...a big dog might eat our chihuahuas for dinner!

before he got here, my husband never understood why i let Chili up on the couch or in bed with me... now i come home all the time to find Medy and Chili watching TV on the couch and snuggled in bed together, reading.... My husband finally gets why many Americans consider their dogs as part of their families.
