Hi,

. I am from Canada and quit my job (they weren't letting me take any more holidays to visit my Boyfriend in Hawaii) to take a holiday with my family 2 weeks, then decided to stay for 6 months. We decided to get married in Honolulu May 25th and i am applying for permanent residency.

Can someone please tell me if i am filling out the right forms>?>

I have a few questions about filling in the i-130 form. under section C, (information about your relative)#2 |Regarding Address: do i write my address back home in Canada or my husbands address in the US? I'm currently living with him here.

Also, under Section C #14- Arrival/Departure Record (i-94) I entered the US by driving through to Washington then taking a plane to Honolulu and the customs officer didn't stamp my passport. What should I write there? it asks for an 11 digit number.

for witness affadavits letters of proof of our marriage: do they have to be notarized? Can my parents write one as well from canada?

Thank you in Advance for your help.

Also, for this question on the form. What am I supposed to write? The example on the forum seems wrong. It says "information about alien relative" so aren't i the alien relative? So why in the example does it say that John Doe is the petitioner and John Doe is the husband. Isn't that supposed to be his wife's name (so my name) in that spot?

If you live with your husband, put your US address

The affidavits doesn't have to be notarized, but you can make it notarized it's ok.

It's better if affidavit are coming from US citizen, but the affidavit are not a big proof of marriage, affidavit is not the most important paper to proof marriage, so don't spend to much time on that!

Thank u. But just to confirm:

My husband is the petitioner and I am the alien relative being sponsored so he writes his name?

It's better if affidavit are coming from US citizen, but the affidavit are not a big proof of marriage, affidavit is not the most important paper to proof marriage, so don't spend to much time on that!

Thank you. So even though I'm here on a visitors visa from Canada and decided spontaneously to get married here, I still write my address as my husbands here in the US?

Came across another question. My husband is an actor and doesn't always have steady work and doesn't make enough to exceed 125% of Hawaii's poverty guideline. Can both his parents be co-supporters for the affidavit of support? I'm worried because we live with his parents but there's also his little brother and grandmother living with us.

Also, for the evidence of a boni fide marriage- can I use a car that we both own? Insurance papers? Bank statements? Can the ownership papers be copies? (I'm sure we need to keep the originals)

Thank u.

Also, what do I check for part 2- I am applying for an adjustment of status because: (see attached form) I should also note that I was told to send the I-130 and I-485 together that's why confused.

Also, what do I write for the form I-485 part 1 where it asks about I-94. Do I write none? (Entered US by car from vegan Washington State from there flew to Hawaii passport not stamped this time)What do I wrote for "current USIS status"? And for "expires on"? Please see attached form.

We wrote "No I-94" in every block it asked for one and did not have an issue. My wife entered the US by car as well, so she didn't have proof of entry.

Always send them copies, but bring originals to the interview. You can submit everything you mentioned. We submitted tax forms, auto insurance cards, health insurance cards, documents listing my wife as the beneficiary of my life insurance and retirement accounts.
