Hello,

My wife got her visa after applying i-130, she will enter USA 10 days before our 2nd anniversary. Will she still receive a 2 years conditional green card, or they will grant her 10 years green card since only 10 days left for our anniversary?
We are planing to go somewhere for our anniversary that's why she is coming before that!

Thanks in advance,

Thanks in advance,

If she enters before your anniversary she will get a 2 year not the 10 year.

I highly suggest waiting the extra 10 days and not wasting the money and effort on the removal of conditions.

$590 for 10 days.... Not even a choice in my opinion.

While it's awesome to do stuff with your spouse for your anniversary, missing one, isn't the end of the world. (Trust me, I've missed 2 with my spouse so far. The first one was while I was still in Canada and the second he was away for work training.)

The only exceptions to the rule on this is that sometimes they mistakenly issue the two-year card when it should be the ten.

$590 would be the least of my worries. There's more to removal of conditions than the fee. Even if it costs a thousand dollars to change the ticket, I would do so.

Aside: There seems to be a rash of silliness today. Is it something in the water?

Must be. :)

I keep telling my husband we should be worried about the ROC but he's not. I said "guess you will be when I'm headed back to Canada."

ROC is something to prepare for and have concern about for almost two years, then there's the hassle of preparing the forms, and EVIDENCE. When you could have avoided all that plus the related expense by waiting another ten days to be together, you'll regret not waiting. You just won't HAVE those regrets for a couple years. :-)
