First let me tell you a quick story about my fiancee and I. We met through Facebook 2 years ago but we never really talked. She thought I was just another Filipino-American playboy (faaaar from the truth) and I am very shy person. Yes, even saying hi via FB messages was hard for me. Even before we talked I already knew she was the one for me. So about 5 months ago, December to be exact, Glomie and I started dating. We've been talking on Skype and FB message ever since. Literally, everyday and night we've been talking. On May 7th 2014 my plane landed in Mactan-Cebu International Airport and that's when I finally got to see the woman of my dreams. I spent two weeks there in the Philippines. 1 week in Batuan, Bohol where her and her family are and the next week she came with me to Maasin City, Southern Leyte, my mothers side of the family. Those had to be the best two weeks of my life, because I got to spend every moment, of every hour, of every second with the love of my life. I know it sounds cheesy but I love this woman, shes my Queen. My flight was scheduled to leave on May 18th 2014 and before she saw us off I proposed to her. Right there in the airport. She said yes and I've never felt so happy in my entire life.

Now this is my first time doing anything of this calibur and I just want to know if I'm doing it right. I've gone through and read the guides found in this website here. Below is a list of things that I have, in order. Please let me know if I am missing anything. The items are as follows:

  • I-129F Cover Letter
  • G-1145 Form
  • I-129F Form
  • My G-325A Form. Attached is a present passport photo, Declaration of Eligibility and Intent to Marry, a copy of my birth certificate stating I was born in the USA and a copy of my passport
  • My fiancees G-325A Form. Attached it her present passport photo, Declaration of Eligibility and Intent to Marry, her birth certificate stating she was born in the Philippines and a copy of her passport, first and last page only
  • Photos showing us and my time in the Philippines. Each photo is dated and has a description of where it was taken and what is going on. A felt tip pen was used to write on the back of these
  • Tickets and boarding passes as well as luggage tags and receipts acquired while I was in the Philippines
  • Skype logs (proof of relationship)
  • Facebook messages (proof of relationship)
  • Recent Skype logs showing proof of ongoing relationship

And that pretty much sums it up. I tried to cover all the bases but I'm sure there are more knowledgeable people here that will know more about this and the things I need. Seeing how this is my first time I'd like to ask you guys and girls for your help. If I am missing anything important, please feel free to message me or respond here. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It looks good so far. Some suggestions:

  • You only need a copy of your birth certificate OR a copy of all pages of your passport. You do not need both.
  • You do not need your fiancee's birth certificate nor do you need a copy of her passport
  • Along with your photos, boarding passes and receipts, include your passport stamp as well
  • Include a sample of your chat logs and messages. In my petition, I had one page per month each of Skype and Viber logs.

You forgot the filing fee on your list. Her passport and birth certificate are not needed for the I-129F. A copy of your US birth certificate is all you need to prove your citizenship, so I suggest moving the copy of your passport bio page and the ones with passport stamps and put them with the other proof of meeting. Other than that, it looks good to go.

Oh yea I have the payment. I just forgot to add it on my list.

So one page for each month is more than suffice? Noted. Thanks a lot!

As long as neither of you were married before it looks good. Don't need the chat logs at this time, that is for the embassy later. Don't need her birth certificate or passport info either.

Put all the photos in a baggie.

Check for $340

So just to make sure I have everything correct before I send it out. This is how my packet looks like with the updates.

  • Cover letter
  • Payment in the amount of $340.00
  • Packet 1: G-1145 form and I-129F form
  • Packet 2: G-325A and passport style photo (Petitioner) and Birth Certificate (Petitioner)
  • Packet 3: G-325A and passport style photo (Beneficiary)
  • Packet 4: Letter certifying intent to marry (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
  • Packet 5: Proof of having met in person in the past two years (photos with descriptions, flight boarding passes, receipts and tickets from places that we have visited)

I do think providing evidences of a genuine relationship early on the application will help the consul adjudicate your petition faster. I think with what you have, you are and your fiancee are all set. Make another copy to send to your fiancee so she can review it herself. It's gonna be helpful when she goes to her interview.

I wish you guys the best, enjoy this journey and God bless!

Don't forget to include passport stamps in your proof of meeting.

Yea my passport stamps were included in the proof of meeting.

Okay, that sounds like a solid plan. I'll do that, make copies for her.
