Long Delay from California Service Center to NVC!!

I have been pretty confident throughout the process thus far, however, It has now been 5 weeks since I received my hard copy NAO2 and the NVC still has no record of receipt from the service center!! Has anyone else experienced this type of delay from the NVC???

Yes, this happened to me and many others in 2012. They tell you to expect a minimum of 6 weeks for your documents to arrive to NVC. I guess they take everything up by wagon and horses.

Anything over 6 weeks you need to call USCIS and ask for confirmation from them that they actually sent your documents to NVC. Talk to a tier 2 don't waste your time with the first person that answers the phone.

Yes this was exactly how it happened to me. NVC finally received my case about 5 weeks after my approval. I was approved April 21 and NVC received May 23. It was a bit frustrating and I was calling every day.

Ugghhhh!!!! Apparenlty our lives are unimportant.

Our NAO2 is dated April 21 as well! Hopefully soon!

Wow, I can understand how frustrating it is. I always felt a bit sad every time I called NVC and they said that they didn't have our case. But just be patient, you will get yours soon!

A full 30 days here between NOA2 and arrival at NVC.. I thought it was an aberration at the time because of CSC going from seven months to four months for average approvals for NOA2 and so I thought NVC must be backed up. As I remember it turned out CSC bulk mails petitions to NVC and for some reason were sitting on approved applications for 4 weeks before mailing them out...

In the end it would not have made much difference - with CSC doing a big push to get the NOA2 approval times down it created a bubble in the line and you were in "line" waiting for an appointment at the embassy.. So if you were from a country that always had open slots you were fine but those of us from very busy countries (which by definition would be most of us) that was the end bottleneck...
