What's even worse is to see some of them (CSC filers) whine about CSC not moving fast enough to approve them...after 20 days  or how they suffered so terribly waiting 23 days for their approval.

To answer your question, no, there is nothing we can do other than write our representatives and complain. If they receive enough complaints, it may raise some awareness and get the disparity addressed but I would not hold your breath...unless you really like the color blue :)

They may know about it, but they will still go home at 17.00 every day and not lose any sleep over it.

SO......it looks like there MIGHT just be something we can do about this. One February filer at TSC wrote to the senator in his/her state about the discrepancy between TSC and CSC and the issue got immediate attention. Her case has been approved almost immediately. Don't know what this means for the rest of us, but I think theere is a case to be made for a concerted pressure from all of us TSC filers. Let us all write to our respective senators about the TSC/CSC discrepancy? If there is anything at all we can do about this arbitrariness, THIS might just be it. I am writing to my senators tomorrow. PLEASE go ahead and do the same. This MIGHT work. Might not. But nothing ventured, nothing gained...............

Filed two weeks ago and already writing senator...?

I don't really think that is fair to the people who have been waiting the 5 month processing time to be pushed aside so a 2 week old May filer can get approved.

I don't understand how people are complaining so much that they aren't getting approved in weeks instead of months. We all knew that there was a possibility that 5 months could be the amount of time you wait for an NOA2.

TSC processes almost 3x more petitions than CSC. Sorry you got stuck with the slower location but be prepared to wait, at least its not forever?

With all due respect, I think you've got the idea of fairness slightly wrong. Just because some of us have waited (quite avoidably) for 5 months and gone through the suffering, doesn't mean we all have to go through the suffering just to commiserate with them. If their wait was down to a broken system -- which it clearly is -- the solution is to get the system fixed, and NOT to suffer in silence just like them, so we can all feel better (?) that we are all suffering?? Sounds weird to me.

I got my electronic NOA1 today. Super glad it wasn't rejected and sent back. we're being processed at TSC, but we are prepared for the wait. I'm ready for this whole process to just be over, but until then both of us are trying to have some patience. :)

Writing a Senator isn't going to change the system, it is only going to get your petition pushed up above everyone else's if you're lucky.

If you guys really want to make a change then you need to start a petition and everyone electronically sign it, write the head of the TSC with your complaints.

Just calling it how I see it, having people write sob story letters to a Senator is not going to change the TSC processing times for "the masses".

I am not saying everyone should wait the same amount of time that I did or anyone else for that matter but 2 weeks after you sent your petition in and already frantically posting about how to get approved ASAP is a little too much.

Change.org go there and create an electronic petition and have every little VJ person sign it. Everyone send a letter to the head of TSC. If you guys really want "change" then start changing your approach to this thing and covering up your attempts of getting early approvals as trying to help "the people".

I don't mean to sound rude, really I don't and if I offend anyone then I apologize. Good luck!)

Anyone who is going through this process has every right to contact their representative and express their concerns and bring the system to a realization that it is beyond flawed regardless of how long you wait. Maybe if enough people brought this horrible unfair system up to their representative it will put some additional concern into the matter. You have millions upon millions of illegal immigrants coming into this country and BEING ABLE TO STAY HERE ILLEGALLY and want this benefit, and that benefit, and taxpayers to feed them and house them and granted amnesty too while we are told we have to wait for an unknown amount of time! This is not the only thread you have been rude in, and let's face it, you ARE coming off as rude. This system is #######, it's flawed, unfair and you of all people should realize this that having to wait a such amount of time while we do the LEGAL thing here is just ludicrous. Perhaps maybe you should also write your representative to express your thoughts, opinions, concerns and unfairness in the system. The problem is, people just want to complain and not act upon it to speak up, after someone gets an NOA2 they just disappear and don't have to worry about it anymore and that is the problem nobody ever pursues it beyond.

I am sorry if I come off as rude to you. I am just an adult trying to shed some light on a perspective that no one else seems to see it from.

If the mods think my posts are rude then please by all means delete my posts and ban my forum account.

I would love to see the process head towards equilibrium between the TSC and CSC. Unfortunately writing a congressman/woman or Senator is not the method to get things changed. First of all a congressman/woman is only a 2 year term, they are more concerned about getting re-elected then trying to shake up an in place federal agency. Senators are typically dealing with bigger issues than how long processing times are at a USCIS service center.

I tried to be constructive in my last post by giving some ideas. Start an online petition and get thousands of people to sign it. Write the head of the USCIS with your woes and complaints, find out who oversees the CSC and write them as well. Those are ways to make a change, Senators and congressmen/women simply do not have the authoritative power to change the way an entire federal institution works. They can however act on citizens behalf with individual cases, which is why I said writing these people is simply only going to get you pushed to the top if you are lucky.

My great grandfather was Congressman of Texas for nearly 6 decades, and my great uncle a Senator for 20 years. I have heard several stories of letters and requests they both received and what they were able to and not able to do. I am no expert in the matter but I know that the measures taken here need to be further reaching than just contacting these 2 governmental figures.

The arduous process that we are going through is to provide a legal immigrant experience for our significant others. That they can have a life in the United States that provides them all the rights that this country provides as well as the responsibilities.

I have tried to recommend to everyone something that they can do to change this process, it is not easy waiting and I know this because I did it. If it is tough for you then I suggest not coming to this site because seeing CSC members get approvals is only going to make you bitter. Write a letter if you want, it may work. But starting a petition and finding out who is in charge at the TSC is a better route to go if you are wanting to make a difference for the future.

Good idea! We might not be able to reach a 100,000 signatures but we will at least create some awareness somewhere about this gross discrepancy. I just signed it.

Hi All,

I have been reading this forum for a while now - thanks for all of the help in my process. I have signed the petition and also emailed my Senators...Why not? If I must wait 5-8 months for something, I will do at least everything in my power to improve my situation. Along the way, this may spread awareness for everyone else.

Other citizens write to the Senators for much pettier things than a 5 - 8 month wait of a fiance/e arriving to the USA legally.

Everyone - do what you do need to do for you and your families!

I sent my package on May 15, NOA1 May 19....will be sometime before the next update...patience, patience, patience.

Good Luck All.

Which senator did you email? Just curious as I live near central florida not south florida and I didn't know if one of the senators was more immigration focused. Thanks!

You mean where it was forwarded to? It should be in the email that was sent to you (if you signed up for it...check spam folder too). If your file number begins with WAC (which it should) you are at the California Service center (not transferred)...if it begins with SRC (I would be surprised) you are at the Texas Service Center (again, not transferred). Good luck.
