Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. You need to wait for the RFE to arrive in the mail, the letter will explain exactly what you need to send. Good luck

Wait on the RFE letter to arrive in the mail, it will state what is needed. I got a RFE email on May 06, 2014 and my husband did not receive the hard copy until May 12, 2014.

Wait until you see what they are asking for. Also, check the status of the I-129F. Do you WANT a K3 visa? If so, this is the kind of situation where the I-129F could be approved ahead of the I-130 and proceed through to the K3 visa. If you have good reason to want that, then delay your response to this evidence request, so that an approved I-129F petition can get through NVC before they see the I-130.

@pushbrk we filled for k3 and both the 129f and i130 request for evidence means REF was mail thanks yall that comment on my post we will wait on the hard copy in the mail

If you are saying they requested evidence for both I-129F and I-130, then you now have the same opportunity. If you WANT the K3 visa, delay your response to the I-130 and mention your desire that the I-129F be approved ASAP. If you prefer the CR1, there's no reason to respond to the request associated with the I-129F.

Can I ask what exactly did you submit with your I-130 Petition?

I know the service Centers lately have been kcikcing back petitions that have no evidence (some just submit a marriage certificate)?

So what all you submit. Remember this is Lagos you are going through and a good evidence full of bonafide relationship information is key to a successful approval down the road.

I'm assuming and guessing but I believe that's it. You submitted evidence of meeting and that you are married, but nothing of a bonafide relationship. Meaning embassy wants to see the before, during and after the marriage.

Although chats, emails, Facebook post, Skype, IM's, Whatsapp, letters, gifts, affidavits from others attesting to your relationship (you get it) are secondary evidence its needed to show the Evolution of the relationship.More so at a Consulate in Lagos than say Canada or UK.

How did you meet what was said and done before the marriage? What did you do when you got to Nigeria? What has happened up to when you petitioned? This shows them the relationship timeline.

And for a CO at Lagos they want to see you the petitioner with family and friends. That is vital.

But just wait on the letter from them and act accordingly come back ask questions and do tell us what they say.
