Starting my I-129F and wondering how useful the 'Proof of Ongoing Relationship' is?

I talk to her daily, but the phone cards only show a vague charge name on my credit card. Will there be a RFE that we are still involved with each other.

Should I mail a postcard just for evidence? Copy emails?

-thanks!

You don't need proof of an ongoing relationship when submitting the I-129f. You only need to prove that you personally met your fiance within the two years preceding your application. You will however need the proof of the ongoing relationship when you go for your interview at the consulate. Some cards can be charged on the internet with a record of each call. I use Dynasky myself but there are many others. Good luck!

I was wondering this question myself. I have been using prepaid phone cards to call Kumar, the kind you buy at the corner store. Since they have a local access number there is no call record. I use this kind because I have found one with a relatively good rate to call a mobile number in Nepal(11 cents/minute). What should I do? I don't think Kumar receives a mobile phone bill either so there is no record on his end as well. If I print out our Yahoo messenger sessions does that count as well? The only record of a call I have is one I made early on in our relationship before I knew how much it would cost to call from my home phone line - a 30 minute call that ended up costing me $230!!! :crying::o Doesn't that count for anything?? :(

Too bad their Nepal mobile rate is 34.8 cents per minute...

I think I might have some used 'Hamro Nepal' phone cards - I switched to 'NYC' cards because ironically the HN cards were 16 cents/minute compared with NYC 11 cents/minute.

I just found a phone card you can buy on the internet that i like alot . The website is www.touch-n-buy.com and you can view the rates and surcharges. I use ETB with no mant or conns fees. Now i don't have to go store to store looking for phone cards. i pay $5.00 to call a cell phone in colombia and get over a hour with it. its even longer time if you calling a home phone. check it out.

I use a service like that but it is for calling to and from Brazil. They give you a PIN number and you can recharge it automatically, on-line, or even over the phone. I get pretty good talk time considering I'm NOT calling Rio and my fiance has only a cell phone.

The connection is really good too!

Rida and I use phone cards, but more often we call each other through yahoo messenger. You can archive the calls you make. The call log tells you who the incoming calls are from, who your outgoing calls are to, the date of the call, the time the call was made and the duration fo the call. Best of all, no charge. You will need YM and a headset though. We talk for hours on end that way and we have a record to give during the interview. Hope this helps.

Bora Bora,

are you saying you sent all these to your beneficiary fiancee in preparation for the interview? And the calling cards are from US to Brazil, I guess? Did you send only "a phone bill" or latest/all/different times throughout?

I am getting things ready for my interview - hopefully not too far away - and am planning to print out a few last emails, the only two snail mail cards we have (we don't use snail mail at all - hope it doesn't prove to be our downfall?!), and phone bills.

I use calling cards (AUS -US) when I'm at work, but that doesn't leave any track anyway - other than a local call made to access the card service and it is charged to my work phone!

However, Aaron and I use SKYPE daily for long calls and we keep history of calls which I will print out and include. In the same way I guess a record of Yahoo Msgr communication mentioned earlier by someone would be ok?
