I-130 waiting now for 14 months and still no answer

i filled for my husband back in march of 2013 and we still have no answer. are case keeps getting transfered which is getting very annoeying. i have called many times and get told you have to wait. this waiting is not easy because of this wait we lost my stepson because his father need to be in the united states. i really need my husband home. the worst part is this case has been to texas vermont and main service center. i have no clue why it went to all thoes places it makes no sence to me.

I assume the petitioner is a USCitizen,

so

ask the petitioner to engage with

the constituent outreach human

in the Congressman's office (there are 3, 2 Reps and 1 Senator)

that serves the desk of 'Immigration Liason Staffer' with that Congressman,

then

have that ILS human engage with USCIS and find the casefile.

Sorry yer having troubles - but an ILS human usually can get this sorted within 8 working days.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

You might find it helpful to understanding USCIS. The blogger lists some actions one can take to get things moving if there's been delay.

July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

You need to get your congressman and senior Senator involved ASAP.

I-130 1st i-797(NOA-1): 12 November 2013, Vermont (Dis-)Service Center (1 day in transit)

I-130 2nd i-797(NOA-2): 30 May 2014, Vermont (Total Dis-)Service Center (199 days in USCIS hell)

I-30 Received at NVC: 11 June 2014 (11 days in transit)

NVC Case # Assigned: 27 June 2014 (15 days to case number assigned)

DS-261 Completed: 15 July 2014 (18 days to DS-261 available)

AOS Fee Bill Paid: 17 July 2014
