Both you and the cosponsor submit 134s plus any documentation you have. Yours will kind of prove that you need a cosponsor.

It's a typical problem for young folks and/or students.

Can your parents support both of you for as long as it will take to make amends on the loans and be able to support a family?

Maybe delaying the K-1 until you are self-sufficient is better?

I'm a little confused - is OP applying for k1 fiancé visa or AOS?

Because the affidavit of support is different in each case. I134 for the k1 or I864 for the AOS.

According to their timeline, they are at the K1 stage. I think by "AOS" they mean the Affidavit of Support.

We are applying for K1...yes, I meant Affidavit of Support. And I will have an income in one year. Amending this kind of school debt doesn't happen for most dentists for a good 30 years, so no, we can't wait!! I can support myself, but not him too. How much would my parents have to make to show support for both of us?

Do your parents claim you as a dependent on their taxes? If not, you are not included in their household size. If they do, then you are. Here are the guidelines > http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf
