Hi every body,

I have been follow this page for a while and I realize it's very useful to ask a question about my current situation.

I am actually in the states, and this is the second tourist visa I Have, it's actually for 5 years, I usually come in the states 2 times a year previously.

but 8 months ago I have met my girl friend and we finally realize we can be husband and wife, we're planning on getting married next week end, already have our marriage license. i only have 2 months since i left my home country and my I94 is valid until November, the problem is my future wife has been here for 9 years but didn't interest about being a US citizen, she has just submit the N400 form to apply for her citizenship on 29th of May 14 does not even have an answer from USCIS yet.

my concern is how long it might take for me to have a legal status? and what are the step to follow please, or should i go back to my country and continue being a visitor instead messing up my visa.

thank you very much in advance, any ideas and advice will greatly appreciate.

Your wife applied for citizenship three weeks in the future? Impressive.

If your I-94 is good until November then you have no immediately-pressing concerns. Your wife may be a citizen by then, and you'd be able to AoS (if you desired) before your legal status expired.

Day 341 (12/10/18) Interview was scheduled for 1/14/19

Day 376 (1/14/19) Interview

Day 385 (1/23/19) Denied

Day 400 (2/7/19) Denial revoked; N-400 approved; oath ceremony set for 2/14/19

Day 407 (2/14/19) Oath ceremony in Dallas, TX

A good average is 6 months. YMMV
