I will, it's nice everyone can see that there is movement, but I never thought that philippines was expedited compared to other countries. But one must also remember having all those T's crossed and I's doted is a must! I know I triple checked my work and still found mistakes. Don't get frustrated if you don't hear anything right away, and keep the faith. Time is on your side and life will be further blessed when you are together with your loved one...

Hi all

Well i just heard last week that in lebanon u can expedite the a pplication since usa secretary of states warns us citizens to travel there for security reasons. So on friday i called uscis and requested an expedite. They gave me a confirmation number and said the will look into it and get back to me in 5 days. So ill wait and call back hope they accept the expedite.

Our case has been transferred to California service centre also. Very few applications are transferred to csc. I think so.

At least last month, cases were routed to CSC (and auto-expedited) when the US citizen currently lives abroad with the beneficiary.

Really? Wow, they're lucky. But why are they expedited? We're still waiting for NOA2, we're routed to NSC. I miss my husband so much. :'( And I need tons of patience for this long visa journey.

Really? Wow, they're lucky. But why are they expedited? We're still waiting for NOA2, we're routed to NSC. I miss my husband so much. :'( And I need tons of patience for this long visa journey.

I don't know why. I guess it's sort of a replacement for DCF, which stopped being an option pretty much everywhere a few years ago. With DCF, a US citizen could file at the embassy and 'bypass' the USCIS stage if they lived abroad with the beneficiary. The rules are weird like that... just like your case will most likely be expedited too because you or your partner are from the Philippines and there was a typhoon there last year, and I'm going to be waiting a lot longer. I miss my wife a lot, too.

I thought after filing I-130 and getting approved by USCIS it will only take approximately 6 to 7 months. But by reading every one's post it seems like it might take more than that

Is it true? In my sister's case who filed last year for my brother-in-low....it only took him TOTAL of 7 months to come here.

There are always exceptions, but the average for people who file for CR-1 or IR-1 visas is 11-15 months. Are you certain your sister filed an I-130 and not for a K visa (I-129F)? The K visas typically go faster, but you're then caught up in limbo for a few months after entering the US before getting the ability to work or travel outside the US or your green card.

I got confirmation now at 2:00 am in the morning. I am chicago processing center. Is it good or better?
