Just wondering..........

How many of you have (somewhat recently) filed an adjustment of status, received a letter saying your case was a potential interview waiver case, and then you were actually scheduled an interview shortly thereafter?

Very few. Out of all the people on here who received waiver letters, I think I have seen 3 or so who did get an interview. All of them got interviews after a long wait, usually more than eight months.

K1 Visa
Feb. 29, 2012: I-129F sent
March 8, 2012: NOA1 (VSC)
August 30, 2012: NOA2
Oct. 1, 2012: Packet 3 received
Nov. 3, 2012: Packet 4 received
Nov. 15, 2012: Interview - approved!
Jan. 18, 2013: POE New York Seaport
Feb. 2, 2013: Wedding

AOS
March 6, 2013: AOS Package sent
March 12, 2013: I-485, I-765, I-131 NOA's
March 29, 2013: Biometrics Appointment
May 10, 2013: EAD/AP approved
Sept. 5, 2013: "Potential Interview Waiver Case" letter received
Nov. 2, 2013: AOS approved (no interview)

Aug. 4, 2015: I-751 sent
Aug. 6, 2015: NOA1 (CSC)

Very few. Out of all the people on here who received waiver letters, I think I have seen 3 or so who did get an interview. All of them got interviews after a long wait, usually more than eight months.

We got an interview waiver letter, then I got an email with approval in the same week. Less than 5 months from filing. I know of another couple in the same boat. Luck of the draw I guess.

I know Ronn, but OP asked about people who got an interview after the interview waiver letter. Which is very few, but they all waited a long time, as far as I know.

Yes, since we K1's have already had interviews in our home countries. If you came on a tourist visa (I can't quite tell), you will have an interview.

We received the interview waiver letter but have now been scheduled for an interview (K-1). Hoping this stage will be over quickly!!! My lawyer said we should receive Green card about 3 weeks after the interview!
