I-864 Signature question

Hey everyone, So I had our co-sponsor email us her documents for our AOS

Tax returns, proof of us citizenship etc,

She ALSO emailed us her I-864, she filled this out by hand and signed and emailed it, I was just wondering, if we print this out will that be sufficient? With a copy of her signature or does this need to be original?

Also, she is the petitioners step-mom, she is going to be our only Co-sponsor, on her tax returns, her husband, (petitioners father) is also stated. Does he need to fill out a separate I-864a because of this?

Those documents are scanned by barcode machine which automatically enter the information on the I-864 into the database. If she scans and email you a copy, it will be rejected and you will be asked to resubmit a new one. She also need to sign with pen to the signature area on the form. It could have been better if she could mail it to you.

You are both very knowlegeable on this subject but I'm confused! I'm not sure how much she makes as a single but they filed jointly on taxes and make WELL above the poverty line for a household of 3. Can either one of you clear this up for me as we want to have everything correct. Thank you both.

uscitizen spouse = primary sponser = husband (yours) , files I-864

uscitizen MIL = co-sponser, files I-864.

she happened to file taxes with her husband, MFj tax status, so

uscitizen FIL = something, files I-864A

That's the way it rolls.
