Upon checking uscis site, on june 5 alien registration number was changed.

What does this mean? And how will we know the new alien registration number?

if u just gotten NOA1 it doesnt mean anything,it means u are in a procces of getting the NOA2,we got NOA1 but no alien reg num change, apparently sometimes u get it just before the NOA2.

Usually a week or so after you get the NOA1, you will see on the uscis site that they've assigned you an alien registration number. That's what happened to me. You do get it before NOA2, but doesn't necessarily mean your NOA2 is on the way very soon. My Alien Registration number was assigned on February 20th, and we are now June 7th... No updates yet for NOA2.

It has been the same situation for a long time now. We have a long complicated story, but initially when I joined VJ, CSC was always much quicker than Vermont.. 3+ years ago. The workload is obviously quite different, but it is depressing to watch if you are at Texas. The threads almost need to be separated on that basis as I continually see the pain felt by those at TSC. It is quite a different scenario. It shouldn't take so long. Once you have made a decision to spend the rest of your life with another person, if you meet the criteria, the approval should be quick. I don't have the answer.. I just feel for those that are in a similar situation. (F)

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Agreed. If you really think about it, all they are doing is approving or denying a 90 day visa with some additional checks regarding relationship validity. It isn't that difficult and we see that the actual time is not long when you look at the 7-55 day approvals at CSC.

There is more to this I now believe. Even with the load from VSC, there should be more approvals being pumped out by TSC. I really don't think they are looking at I-129f's and are focusing on I-130's and other immigration issues such as DACA and the so called "refugee" situation from Honduras among others.

It really sucks, but I think we are a low priority and we got the short end of the stick with TSC being assigned, by higher ups, to work on other pressing issues as they see it. CSC will slow down drastically in a few months, so those that were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time have benefited. That will change. We just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
