Hello VJs.

While filling out the forms I noticed that there is a question for A# (I am assuming this is a Alien number) on G-325A and I-130 forms.

I am naturalized USC, do I still need to provide A# on both forms?

Thanks for you help!

Your alien registration number will remain in your record for ever, because your are a naturalized citizen (not born in the US).

Just look at your Certificate of US Naturalization. You will find your A# on it.

I Don't Think it's required because they can figure out who you are but it makes all the paperwork go faster so I suggest you use it.

Good Luck!

As you move forward in the process, I suggest you read each question carefully, interpret it literally and answer accurately. You have an A number. Answer the question. Simple as that.

I have one more question on question 14 and 14b, I am a naturalized USC (through marriage and later divorced), do I have to answer 14b as well? my understanding is that 14 and 14b are related to Green card folks but I could be wrong.

Part of reading carefully and interpreting literally is to determine the tense of the question. Question 14 is a present tense question, beginning with the words "If you are...". "Are" is present tense. ARE you a permanent resident? No, so the question is not applicable to you. You are NOT a permanent question, so don't complete it.

14b. is pretty a pretty simple question, to which the answer is definitely yes. However, I can see how you might be confused as to whether you are required to answer. That's a tougher one. In my opinion, US Citizens are not required to answer this question.

No you don't need to answer 14b since you are a USC now. Another question, how long its been since you got your first green card?
