Does anyone know what "last updated" means ? My pd is April 8 but It says last updated April 16

And for some reason my email notifications got turned off so not sure if anything was sent to me. Have to watch that portfolio!

Where are you seeing "last updated"? The Case Status website? If so the first paragraph should explain? Most likely I think your Alien Number was changed on the 16th. Mine was also changed about 10 days after my PD but nothing's happened since then.

I went to case status. That's still says initial review. But then went to portfolio on the left and found out A) it was updated on 16th but that's all it says. No explanation. B) that my email notifications were turned off. Don't know how that happened.

Should I be seeing an explanation or his A number?

Did u get am email when the a number changed?

Yeah, it says Initial Review, but below the blue circles and the title, the first paragraph changes for me at least. It used to say something like "On April 2, 2014 we received your I-130 blah blah" and when it was updated that changed to "On April 15, your ARN was changed blah blah". You do not get to see the ARN itself, on the website at least. It just tells you that you have one.

Just making sure about this, you did sign up on the USCIS website (here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp) right? I mean, you got the first email notification that they received your I-130 because I assume you attached the email notification form to your I-130 package, but to get updates from now on you need to sign up at the link above. I did this and did get an email notification when the ARN changed.

Yes USCIS website. And I did get the initial email. And I did the portfolio with email and text notifications but this morning I signed in and they were off! So I assume it was for ARN but don't know. And now I'm wondering if I just ignore it?

Also mine still says initial review so have no idea what was done.

Did u get an email when they assigned ARN?

Ya know, I know that Uscis doesn't update and keep you posted like NVC does and I know this update is probably nothing, but any update makes you feel a bit better abt the process. Shows a tiny bit of progress And I just feel like I missed out on something. I'm sure you know what I'm trying to say :)
