Married and out of status, 3 months

Good Evening,

since I'm out of status 3 months what would I write for current status? I'm preparing the paper work for AOS, and I am not sure what I would write.

I think in one of the threads someone said to put adjusting status,

Also in form I-131 it asks how I would qualify for advance parole, not sure what to write

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Whatever your status is, plus expired. For example, if you entered on a B-2 tourist visa you would enter "B-2, Expired".

A written explanation of why you need AP is not required when you are concurrently filing with an an I-485.

Thank you very much for your response. I understand that since I am already out of status that I should not apply for AP. (risk of being banned if I leave the country, yes?)

You should apply for AP anyway, in case there is a family emergency back home. Theoretically, with AP the border guards still should let you in, even though you are out of status. However, err on the side of caution - do not use it unless you really have to, because entry into the US is always at the border guards' discretion.
