Title says it all. We recieved my wifes's appointment date today. Problem is her AOS iS filed under her married name, and all of her current ID shows her maiden name. We put her maiden in the application, under other names used. Should she bring the marriage certificate with her to the appointment to show the name change?

Yes just take the marriage certificate along with her ID in her maiden name and that should be sufficient. I did the same thing and had no problems.

When I went for my biometrics they wouldn't accept just my passport as it was in my maiden name and specifically requested to see a document showing my name change, thankfully I had my marriage certificate with me.

Here is another recent topic on the same subject. It seems some USCIS offices ask for it, and some do not. Best to bring it just in case > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/489982-k-1-biometrics-appointment-and-name-changes/

I only had my passport in my maiden name too. They asked for my wedding cert but I hadn't thought to bring it. They didn't send me home, just to a different room where I was asked the date we married and he did something on his computer and said we were good to go. I did my biometrics 5 minutes after that. I guess every place is different!

Hi! I just had my biometrics appointment last Friday, April 4. I also had the same concern cause i'm already using my husband's surname, so I brought with me our marriage certificate just to be sure. But when i got there, i just showed them my passport (with my maiden name) and appointment letter, and they did not ask for other documents. Cause in the form that you will sign, there's a part in there that would ask you for the "other names used", just put in there your maiden name. I hope this info helps.
