I'm so nervous, my interview is net friday and I'm already shaking, plus been kinda fighting a lot with my husband over what documents I should bring with me. This is too much stress, I feel so overwhelmed. I'm literally taking muscles relaxers to deal with all this and be able to do my job and work well. Can this just be over already?!?!?!?!

Sorry, just needed to vent :(

I would certainly not wear jeans! Traditional or formal wear would be more appropriate. My wife wore traditional and she said there were plenty of people either in formals or traditional wear.

Guys who will or have gone to mumbai consulate for interiew, Is there a dress code? are jeans ok? or do guys have to wear formal wear and women have to wear traditional wear.

This is really frightening me. I am also Catholic and my husband is Hindu. However, we did just a standard court marriage in Mumbai under the Special Marriage Act.

I agree, the Special Marriage Act is specifically supposed to ALLOW marriages between people of different religions without either of them having to give up their religion. What right does the embassy have to say that because I was raised Catholic that I MUST belong to a Catholic church?! I put that I was Catholic on my app, but I am Non-practicing. Now I'm terrified that bad things are going to happen because I put a religion down! This is terrible!
