Just as the others said, but also, no need for USC's birth certificate either. Are you applying for EAD/AP, cause you can mail it all in one envelope. Other than that it looks good. I just used regular old paperclips, so I'm no help there.

Indeed, if the BC is not in English it must accompany a translation.

Also, some people use ACCO fasteners, and some people use binder clips. I used a big binder clip.

WAIT yes, you do need the USC's birth certificate if you are using them as your sponsor on your I-864 (which, if you're filing for AOS based on marriage to them, then you are). You have to include proof of their citizenship, which in most cases people use their birth certificate but their passport/naturalization document (if they weren't born in the USA) is good too. You can find a list of what to include in the I-864. Just be sure you don't forget proof of their citizenship, we did for my cosponsor and got an RFE for it.

Nope, only joint sponsors need to submit proof that they are a USC. From the form: "Proof of U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident status is required for joint and substitute sponsors and for relatives of employment-based immigrants who file this form."

Yeah, that's what I know as well, a BC is only necessary for co-sponsor, 'cus your spouse MUST be a USC to be your spouse in this process, so no need for proof that he/she is a USC.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the response. Yeah, my sponsor is a born U.S. Citizen, so that's mean no need for me to send his birth certificate.

btw, my birth certificate doesn't need to be translated because it is already in English when i got it from Statistic office back in PI. thanks for asking.

another thing, do i need to submit paystubs as a supporting document for affidavit of support?

Can someone tell me if form I-693A (Vaccination Supplement) is sufficient for a K-3/K-4 visa holder's AOS?

USCIS is not helpful (I've gotten conflicting answers every time I call them) and the Civil Surgeons here in Austin, TX are worthless.

My wife and step-daughter's medical exam in Moscow were done in October. I've seen instructions for K-1/K-2 visa holders, but the instruction say nothing specific for K-3/K-4 visa holders.

If we send only the I-693A supplement, and they want the full medical exam (I-693), will they issue just a RFE or reject the whole AOS package?

HELP!

2005-08-10: Met Natalia and fell in love. Too bad she didn't.

2006-01-13: Married. Biggest mistake of my life.

2006-03-07: Began the I-130/I-129F process.

2006-11-01: POE - JFK / Home in Austin!

2006-11-15: She hits me and continues pattern of abuse.

2006-11-16: I filed for divorce.

2006-11-17: Wife is served divorce papers; she and daughter return to Russia.

2007-12-08: She returns to Russia "for the holidays" (lied to lawyers and court).

[many more ups and downs during this time period - mostly downs]

2008-03-26: File for bankruptcy.

2008-07-30: Bankruptcy finalized.

2008-08-27: Divorce final. Started piecing my life back together.
