Hi VJ friends. I had my interview and my 1yr old daughter last march 12,2014 in U.S. embassy Manila. After my interview the lady told me we were approved and just wait for our visa but until now we haven't receive it yet. It's more than a week now. It's a k1/ k2 application

My question is how long do we have to wait before we get our visa? And do we have to pay for the mailing of our visa after the interview ?

Thank you so much. All ideas and opinions are deeply appreciated.

You can wait as long as you can until it will be delivered smile.png ..

If you have checked the status of ur visa at ceac website and u are not put on AP, it should not take long. But there are cases that even if the case was not put on AP, still it took them few weeks to have their visa...

You should check the status of it at ceac website and perhaps call the Embassy to get answers.

And no, you Don't have to pay for the mailing of the visa,,

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Our interview was March 11, 2014 and still waiting. Same k1/k2 the next day after interview the K2 says AP. So what does that admin processing mean? How long does that generally take? They still have her passport to and did not require any further proof at interview.

Thanks!

Nope you do not have to pay for delivery, that is included in the visa fee.

It has only been 7 business days since your interview, just need to be patient. Could be another week or two.

You can check tracking on the CEAC and embassy website, there is info for tracking in my link below.

AP on my perspective means that the Embassy needs more time to contemplate if the person is worthy of the visa...I was on AP for 3 weeks without any additional documents asked...

Congratz jeranne28!

Hey everyone...getting your visa from the USEM can take anywhere from three days to three weeks...and sometimes longer.
