Thanks for sharing Marie12, are you have the same security check issue?

Unfortunately, I have the same issue as well. I did the service request, got a reply after exactly 15 days that the background checks haven't been completed. So I contacted my senator as well got the same reply through them, was told to wait 90 days.

Very frustrating to be honest, It's already past 6 months now and at the end of October it'll be 7! USCIS was suppose to be a pretty straight forward process. I hope it won't drag for too long but after some searching online, people in these kind of background check delays at USCIS stage had to wait anywhere from 10-24 months for approval. :(

I was hoping for all the process to be completed in 8-12 months tops, but current situation is pointing to something else.

Please keep updating if anything changes for your case.

I haven't heard anything about my case everytime i call it's the same thing, it's in the review stage..

I'm hoping for some information from our service request. I'm already past the 7 months so hopefully it won't be much longer.. Fingers crossed ☺️☺️

I just called and they received my case on October 2nd. He told me I need to wait an additional 42 days for them to enter it into thier system. I really feel sick right now. :(

Please let me know what they tell you when you call.

Hello Boris & Kassie.. Have your status on USCIS website changed to 'Your petition has been shipped to...."

Just curious... Does every one get this status changed or only few? Also, if it was received on Oct 02, I believe you should have case number by now.

Good luck! Hang in there!! Hopefully nvc catches up and u get to be right behind us!

Hello Tavotevi..Same question as Boris&Kassie for you. :)

For all of you guys waiting for approvals, there's something positive behind every delay. Hang in there.

So now do I wait for a week then call NVC?

How long is the NVC process taking these days?
