Hello! I'm living in the US with my husband, I came here on a K1-visa and I've applied for adjustment of status and currently have my employment authorization.

I need to file my Canadian taxes, but I'm a bit confused!

Do I file under my maiden name, because that's the name I was working under?

Do I need to change my name in Canada first as well? (haven't done that yet) And ...how do I do that?

I'm just so confused and different websites are telling me different things, any help would be greatly appreciated!

(Also, sorry for not updating my timeline, I'm going to do that asap. Life's been crazy!!!)

WAIT.. your NOA2 was before your NOA1 on your signature.

LOL I was sooooo confused.

I would file under your married name. You need to inform the CRA of any changes in your married status within 30 days of being married and 90 days of being separated. It's probably not a big deal because you weren't married in Canada but still you were married before the end of the year. You won't include your husband's income and use all zeros for his SIN. You only file taxes in Canada for the period you were in Canada so there is an EXIT date on the front (you can't file online because you are not living in Canada) and that would be your POE date.
