Dont proceed with nothing!

all you can do now is "Wait!"

yes wait, wait till the embassy contact you or your fiance.

they'll provide you with what you need to do and the time to do them.

your case seem to still be with the USCIS, why not call them and find out whats going on. Or better still, you cand contact the NVC and ask if they already got your file. it should be there by now if you say its 7months.

Hello everyone, My I-130 process is still in initial review and its been 7 months waiting for NOA2. No need to call NVC you aren't approve. Thats a wasted call. It's taking 8 to 12 months for approvals at USCIS. So wait you must.

Medicals is on you. The embassy doesn't tell you when or how. NVC will schedule your interview and you will get what we call the P4 letter within 24 hours. I also admin the interview thread if you wanted to look at present and past interview times from case complete to interview to see how long. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/483203-april-2014-interviews/page-13#entry6869462

Also, go to your countries portal and look at the Consular Information. Most countries here have the places you can get medicals. Do not get medical until you get interview. You are far from that time.

If you want to get prepared for next step. I advise you go to the NVC filers thread and read post #1 and #2. Alot to get together for the next stage and planning.

Can you please fill-out your timeline this helps us answer questions and this is how we get our stats on how long.

Your friend is wrong.

You need to wait for the petition to be approved.

Then you will call the NVC and do document intake and pay fees.

After you have a case complete from the NVC (after they have all the documents needed for interview and everything is filled out correctly), they will book you an interview date.

After you have the interview date, then you can book the medical.

Everything must follow in that order.
