Hi everyone! I don't know if it's my inability to find it or my sinus infection clouding my abilities, so I apologize if there was a forum already dealing with this...but I just wanted to know if anyone else is a little bit past the date that they expected a decision for their I-129Fs from TSC? I received my NOA1 on December 19, and on January 6 they updated to: 'On January 6, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.' Visa Journey had anticipated a decision no later than February 16, and here we are on March 2 and it hasn't been updated yet to anything, much less a decision. I realize that Visa Journey is just using averages of what members are reporting, but I guess I thought they would have updated or touched the file since then and they haven't. Is this strange? Should I be concerned? Since filing I've already been back to visit for 10 days and want to plan our next trip for the summer but I really don't want to plan anything without any indication from USCIS as to what their timeframe is or what they're doing smile.png I don't know... the January 6 update was so quick, I kind of expected them to keep working after that I guess. I know immigration is a long drawn out process, but this petition process I was expecting to be relatively quick. Just checking in! if anything it will calm my nerves smile.png

Yeah the timelines are completely screwed up mainly because people are not filling theirs in, entering the wrong service centre (CSC when it should be TSC or vice versa) and also because there have been alot of expedited cases going through because of natural disasters and what not bringing the whole average to a much closer estimate which is most likely going to be a long shot from when its actually processed. All we can do is expect to wait the 5 months like USCIS tells us is their average before calling them and if its done before then its a blessing, at least thats how im dealing with the wait, write a note on your calendar for whatever date is 5 months after your NOA1 and then take it from there but from what ive read so far its usually done somewhere around 3 months or there abouts.

As for the touching of the case im pretty sure thats just a notification which means theyve picked it up and started to break it down into their own files where it will sit in a box until that whole batch is ready to be done. Im no expert so someone else may want to ellaborate on this but its pretty much a horrible waiting game for all of us after NOA1 with no solid proof of when it could be touched again.

Id suggest joining the December 2013 filers thread if you havent yet and see if anyone in there has received NOA2 yet from the same service centre as you and make a judgement yourself based on that but no, you shouldnt be concerned about it as of yet smile.png

Good luck to you and everyone else waiting on the good news! ClockWatch2.gif

Well, I totally understand what y'all are going through! But you are still in the beginning,.... Maybe not and y'all get approved this week??

There is no order how they approve the petitions.... We saw A LOT of people getting approved that have filled after us! It was really sad to see people getting approved from november, december, january, while we were fillers from August 2013!!

We waited 6 months and 3 days... For our NOA2, so be patient, it will come!

I wish you good luck!

Hi there,

Just wanted to give you a bit of a gauge as a fellow Morocco filer at TSC! We received our NOA1 on September 16th and passed our 5-month mark a few weeks ago without any news. The torturous wait continues ClockWatch2.gif

I wish I could tell you that they're moving faster than that (though for some cases it seems they are - and no, beyond differences in nationality and background details, no one seems to be able to work out the rhyme or reason to some of these discrepancies in processing times). I would say mentally settle in for the full 5-month estimate wait time and then just be pleasantly surprised if NOA2 arrives before that...

I found this to be the best advice I've received from some incredibly supportive VJ members ...though initially not necessary what I wanted to hear, it's kept me from cracking to this point. We'll see how long I can hold out, ouf!

Hang in there and it'll happen!

Fingers crossed for you and your S.O.

I have a different visa path I was chasing, so I do not know if this will help you or not. The alien registration number changed 2 times for me. The first time was

a few weeks after we filed. The second time was just recently, and then we got our noa2 a week later. Hoping it is the noa2 coming for you! Best of Luck!

The good news though, is that your case was at least touched. Hang in there! star_smile.gif

I filed about a month after you did and right now I'm smack in the middle of my VJ estimate, I'm trying my best not to get mad if it passes and I don't have my NOA2 by then. I can't help but check a million times a day, but I know it will eventually come...

haha..how random that is!! White Plains isn't such a huge city lol

Anyway, yeah...I have a feeling because it's Morocco and that's a high fraud country it will take longer...although with all the evidence I sent them, our relationship couldn't even possibly be perceived as fraudulent. Anyway, thanks everyone for the replies! Of course this morning when I woke up I had a notification on my phone from the app that checks USCIS for me (yeah...I'm obsessive like that lol) and my heart stopped because I was expecting an update and then when I opened it, they just wanted me to re-enter the password. ughhhhh....

searsison ...I found the thread and joined for December filers! Thanks so much!!!
