Hi everyone..Hope everything's good with you all. I have questions pls help me understand :

* My pd date is  May 04 2012

*Receive Approval letter on 1 Oct 2013

I know there's still a long way wait for me and i understand it but i saw on this forum that you guys call nvc for an update or curious about the application..since i got my approve letter my mother (petitioner ) haven't call to check for any update or news about my application. Is it ok to just wait till my pd current? or my mom should call nvc?

What is form  DS260? when to complete this form?

Thank you :)

Hi, at this moment you just have to wait till NVC will open your case and will send a welcome letter. I suggest you to track VB, the 2nd chart (which actually just moved) where you can see, that they are sending WL to 01 January 2012.

You'll receive all instructions when will receive your WL and it might be in half a year if VB will move for 1-2 months as they inform.

No need to call nvc. They will contact you 6 months before your pd becomes current. ds260 form is to be completed when nvc contact you.

thank you :)

Have you registered an email address with them? So you can get the Welcome Letter via email as well, when they do send it.

You should have received a welcome letter from NVC requesting additional documents, as after USCIS approves your petition it is sent to NVC.  See if you can contact uscis regarding your petition ever being sent to NVC.  Once a petition is sent to NVC you have a year from any correspondence they sent to you to respond or your petition can be cancelled.
