You need two I-864 forms. One from your wife and one from her father, then one I-864a from the mother. This is the only way the father's household size can accurately and reliably be stated. I-864 is for combining income or for joint filing spouse. Your father is not combining income with your wife, so he needs his own I-864 and will serve as joint sponsor, not "household member".

The other question is my father in-law already sponsored some one ( their relative) 3 years before so, they have to mentioned all the previous details in the I-864 form ???

Also, my wife have to write my name and details in part-2 (information of the principle immigrant) and my father in-law as well in the form i-864 ???

please describe me in detail !!!!

hi

even if you live together you are separate household because she is not dependent on your parents taxes

when she files i864,it will be a household of 2, you and her

her father if he is the sponsor, he will have a household of 4 if the person hasn't become a USC

so between her mom and dad their combined income has to be enough to cover 4 people: mom, dad, you and the person sponsored if he or she is still a LPR

his responsibility ended if that person became a USC

Your father's household size does not include you. He is not your household member. He is the joint sponsor. His household will include himself, his spouse, any "dependent children" and any immigrants previously sponsored that are NOW green card holders.

You and your parents would only count as part of the same household if you were his dependent on tax returns (most recent) of if you were combining income. HE does not need to combine income with you, so will not.

You are the immigrant on all forms.

hi

yes the same she is sponsoring and her dad co sponsoring the same person
