John Kerry visits Iraq and SITS ALONE

I got this from a Vets site I belong to. many of our members are or have been deployed to Iraq so we get better info then the damm news gives.

if someone can debunk this fine, but I'd bet it is true.

The British flag on the wall makes me wonder though.???

This is a true story.....Check out this photo from our mess hall at the US Embassy yesterday morning. Sen. Kerry found himself all alone while he was over here. He cancelled his press conference because no one came, he worked out alone in the gym w/o any soldiers even going up to say hi or ask for an autograph (I was one of those who was in the gym at the same time), and he found himself eating breakfast with only a couple of folks who are obviously not troops.

What is amazing is Bill O’Reilly came to visit with us and the troops at the CSH the same day and the line for autographs extended through the palace and people waited for two hours to shake his hand. You decide who is more respected and loved by us servicemen and women!

People regularly flip out about John Kerry on here - that "soldiers are stupid" thing, his visits to Middle Eastern governments, (bizarrely) his testimony about Vietnam, etc. It's so predictable and inane.

It's that contrived outrage at John Kerry that leads to the ridiculous Schadenfreude evinced in this post. He is such a strawman.

Im not sure that picture is real. It looks photoshopped maybe- he looks awfully well lit comapred to the otheres. Mayeb go to www.snopes.com and see if it is a myth.....

There are obviously people that disagree with the conclusion that Kerry isn't being "snubbed" by the U.S. Military in Iraq.

That assertion is contadicted by an "in-country" trip documented by Journalist Sean Hannety whereby he directly asked about the sentiment of the troops concerning such things. The troops voluntarily offered up their opinion that they are the most educated, most mission oriented and most motivated military force ever fielded by the U.S in history.

They are not murderers terrorizing Iraqi's at night or morons as Kerry has suggested.

Like I said, this idjit's finished.....

The fact is I think it's time to remove him from my signature as he's history........

Ultimately, who cares about John Kerry anyway? The fact that right-wing websites are obsessing over this shows them simultaneously to be sore winners ("Bush may have ###### up royally, but at least the guy he beat is really unpopular!") and sore losers ("We got our asses kicked in November, but look--John Kerry is sitting alone!"). The truth about Kerry being snubbed or not is unimportant to these people, as is truth as a general concept. But the sad thing is that Kerry is still important to them--much more important to them than he is to Democrats.

I saw another version of the same photo, not sure where, and Jane Fonda was sitting in the seat next to Kerry. The picture of Kerry "alone" was clearly doctored to remove Jane.

You got guys like Al always talking about "Bush derangement syndrome", but the wingnuts are demonstrably orders-of-magnitude more deranged about a long list of Dems who are barely even relevant, for the most part. Kerry is just one of them.

It never fails to amaze me that adults in 2007 (feels weird to say that!) still actually believe the random stories that float around on the internet. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not, who knows? That picture proves nothing because we know nothing about the actual context of it. Maybe he sat down early, before others got there, maybe he's a slow eater and everyone else was finished. There is no way to know where he is, what he was doing, what others there were doing, etc. I see lots of empty seats in that photo, the man at the table behind him appears to be alone as well, maybe they were snubbing him too?
