Timeline

Had our interview this morning in San Antonio, Texas. I made an enormous goof this morning and trusted Google Maps to navigate me to the USCIC office. We ended up twenty minutes late. Our USCIS officer (Officer #44) was very pleasant and told us not to worry about being late and he completely understands the GPS issue- no worries. I believe from the moment we walked in, when he spotted my wife and me carrying our newborn daughter in the car seat, he knew we were a bonafide married couple. He escorted us upstairs and invited us to sit down on a sofa next to his door. He then said to me with a smile on his face "you can sit back and keep an eye on that beautiful baby. I'll only need your wife Veronika and she'll be out shortly."

15 minutes later (I timed it on my iPhone), he came out alone, stood next to me, looked down at the baby and back at me while he began saying "That baby is gorgeous and she's so relaxed and calm. I am approving your wife's application. She will be receiving her card in about 3 to 5 weeks. It will be valid for 2 years. about 90 days before it expires, you will need to renew it. Good luck to you guys!"

Talk about a relief! I was stressed out because I made us 20 minutes late and God worked it all out. APPLICATION APPROVED! :dancing:

Thanks to everyone who has been participating in this thread. We will post an update as soon as we receive the green card.

Blessings!
