In my dream world, where everything goes smoothly and efficiently, I hope to be there by July.

Realistically, I think it will be October/November.

What are your dreams/realistic guesses?

We're hoping for an interview by June/July, and here by the beginning of August. That'd put us right at the 6-month mark from beginning to end, and before school starts. He has a 10-year old son he's bringing with him). If not then, I'm not sure he'd move here before Christmas break. It feels very up in the air, and THAT'S what makes this all so stressful. sad.png Also, he wants to go to a family reunion in South Africa next Mar/April, and unless he is here by, say, November, then we wouldn't be able to go from here, based on AOS and AP timelines.

I am hoping to have finished with everything by October, and move there. If I hopefully get NOA2 by May/June, we can schedule the interview for Sept or October. Why are you Cali filers so worried? You guys get the NOA2 latest in 60 days. It's us- the TSC filers, who wait like 100 days at least.

Because regardless of the California processing times anyone could still get multiple RFE's, there might be a long wait for interviews, you might even be denied. So it's more of a 'what might crop up' to slow the process worry than a how long is my NOA2 going to take worry :(

Yes, I agree with Sailor. Even if we're lucky enough to not receive an RFE and get approved, CSC is notorious for taking forever to send the info on to NVC. Then we have to wait for all the other steps along the way. I know the consulate that my fiance will go for his interview, the wait time can be anywhere from 2 to 6 months. Receiving NOA2 is just one jump closer in a road full of hurdles...BUT I will still be relieved whenever it comes :)

This is a great question.

I hope to be approved and have him in the US w us by Oct but I'm thinking through to worst case hopefully Jan! Planning a colder wedding which is ok because it gives me time to lose some more baby weight...I'd love to get married on the beach though so we might have a real wedding an exact year later on the island. I'd love that.

We are planning our honeymoon too because he won't be able to leave the US so maybe we will go see California (Nappa Valley etc) althoughayne that's too far since we will have to bring the baby. Lol if not maybe a tour of the south? Not sure yet. Sucks that we can't fly out.

Basically I just want him here. I want to snuggle on the couch watching tv and make him dinner and have him make breakfast...etc.... All the mundane little things in a relationship. I miss him every second of every day. Thank God for Skype so he can see a lot of the baby as he changes week to week. Still- my biggest wish is that he's here for our sons first birthday in August. I know. Never going to happen but if I found a genie lamp...lol

Sigh

No one here has even gotten an RFE for Feb right? It's either nothing from TSC or straight approvals for CSC?

I found this page on VJ about Q&A with a former adjucator. Think it might be a good read for everyone here. :)

We're hoping for late September / early October :)

How/where does one look for the part in that link that say the application has been "touched"??

Once you've created an account to view your case status on the USCIS website all you have to do is click on ''My Portfolio' and the 'Last Updated' section would be where you find your 'touch date' :)

I'm not sure if they do the touches (or update them online) as much as they used to though.
