My case hit a wall too! Interview was 5/13. Got put in oath queue on 6/3, and hasn't been updated since then. This Friday will be 45 days since my "recommended approval" date, which is how long uscis.gov says to expect to be scheduled for the oath. Grrrrr! I'm going on vacation the last week of August and it's going to be complicated if the oath happens right before or during the trip. Once I take the oath I'll have to rush to get my passport or bye bye vacation! And if my luck is just right it will be scheduled right when I'm supposed to be away. What then? I guess reschedule? Do they put you in the back of the line when you do that? SIGH... I can't wait to be done.

Most people who reschedule get a new oath date 1-3 months after the original date.

I had my oath ceremony yesterday at Dallas office. My wife and I went in around 1300hrs and ceremony started at 1315hrs. We had total of 65 attendees. The whole thing took little over an hour.

Here is the timeline of my short journey:

3/4 application sent

3/5 priority date

3/12 I797 received

3/26 FP done

5/2 inline for interview

5/16 interview scheduled

5/21 interview letter received

6/21 interview and oath letter received

6/24 Oath.... US citizen

Well I am updating Fumes and I Oath Date. I think we didn't want to update it because we are mad that we will have to go to Memphis again to do it (for me is a 6 hours drive), because they are having another ceremony the same date at Knoxville (which is only 1 hour drive for me). I contacted them, and they sent me a letter saying they couldn't change my request to have my ceremony in Knoxville because all the slot are accounted for.... so I just have to go all the way... by myself because my husband will have his at Knoxville...

Oh no I had my interview at Memphis too and waiting for them to schedule my Oath. I hope they will not give me the Memphis again because it's almost 9 hours drive for us :( We are hoping in Knoxville or Chattanooga 4-5 hours or the closest USCIS here to us in Charlotte, NC which is 2 hours away. I'm sorry to hear that you have to go Memphis again but in a positive way at least it's gonna be the last appointment to the USCIS. Congratulations to you:)

Congratulations to all of you who passed your interview. I have my interview on Monday morning in Memphis.

Here is a question for you. Did anyone actually NOT disclose traffic citations?

After submitting my N-400 I realized checked "no" for citations received. After reading threads I realize that speeding tickets are classified and need to be accounted for. I have one speeding ticket that was several years ago and I have no way of obtaining the details on that citation and/or resolution. Honestly, cannot even remember what year it was, it was that far back.

I made a DMV request and they only gave me as far back as 3 years. I have 1 traffic citation in the last 3 years for "passing on the right". I have printed this stuff off and am prepared to take it in with me.

Should I even bother disclosing this?

I had my N400 interview today in Indianapolis. I was eligible after 5 years on employment basis on March 19 (90 days prior) and completed 5 years on June 16 2014. My wife applied at the same time (three days after me).

Though my wife applied later she was scheduled for the interview a week earlier, passed and is now scheduled for oath. Prior to interview she received a yellow letter and the scheduling letter.

I only received a scheduling letter. Today at the interview a very nice immigration officer called me in and swore me to tell the truth. She asked me 6 questions: 1. Who is head of the executive branch 2. Who succeeds the president 3. What are the amendments to voting rights4. Major concern of us during cold war 5. One of freedoms under the First amendment. I have forgotten the sixth.

She went over my application. I had fifteen trips out of the US none lasting 6 months, one more since filing N400. She quickly went through the list but did not care. Added my new trip. Made me sign my photos. She then gave me a form saying I had passed my tests but....a decision could not be made. She saw that I was surprised and explained. She said the field office only had a "T file" on me and received my "A file" only this morning. She had not been able to review it but will review it today after completing interviews.

She said that there are now two possibilities: 1. If she needs something more I will receive a letter from them in the next week 2. If they dont need anything I will hear from them in 2 weeks regarding oath. Her personal opinion was that it was likely to be 2. The feeling I got was that what they are worried about are unlawful acts. She said since the FBI fingerprint searchs came back negative she does not believe that the A file will have issues but she will need to check.

This explains why I never recieved a yellow letter: they never checked the A file.

Anyway, my question is: The letter says that all I need to bring to the interview is Driver's License... should I bring any other documents just in case?

I know I might be over-thinking this, but I am wondering what you guys think.

Possible bring Green Card, and Marriage Certificate... not sure.

Yellow letter does NOT mean that is all you should be bringing. On top of my head I am planning to bring:

- Tax transcripts

- Leases

- Pay stubs

- W2s

- Selective service letter although I didn't need to register

none of these were mentioned on YL, but it doesn't mean your interviewer won't ask.

Yup, me! I checked no on the form even though I had two speeding tickets. I called the DMV and was told anything older than 3 years is no longer kept in their records. So at the interview I started to ask if I should have disclosed it and the IO smiled and simply said he didn't want to know about my speeding tickets. That was that. Just be honest and explain. I don't think it will be an issue. Good luck on Monday!!!

I brought a bunch of other docs: passports, taxes, bank statements, utility bills, marriage cert, mortgage, driving record... Yellow letter only asked to bring drivers license. At the actual interview I was only asked to show my green card. I would still bring all your supporting docs just in case though!

Now I don't quite get this. So if I haven't received a yellow letter, that means my "A-file" has not been reviewed and a decision won't be made at the interview ?

Had anyone who's passed the interview right away not received their yellow letter prior to it ? I never got one.

I didn't receive a yellow letter and I passed and was recommended for approval after the interview and now on oath scheduling que . Good luck to you for your coming interview:)
