I noticed this question has been asked (and answered many times), yet, I noticed that some airlines charge you if you don't use your return ticket.

I was wondering : Which company did you travel with and did they charge your for not using your ticket?

If yes, how much?

Also, Delta and KLM have a 'no-cancel' policy, how much did/would they charge for an unused return ticket?

(If I pay online/phone, they will have my bank infos + Delta&KLM already have my bank infos)

An other question (last one for tonight >.< ) : My fiancé will come to Europe to 'pick me up' how can we book our tickets so we will be on the same flight, sitting next to each other? :)

These are approximative dates, but his flight would be : (September 6th, 2014) MEMPHIS - LUXEMBOURG

and then on the way back, I would be with him : (September 11th, 2014) LUXEMBOURG - MEMPHIS

---We will have at least 2layovers, but that is absolutely fine, well the first layover in the US for me will have to be around 5hours :)

Thank you very much for your help !!!

No, the airlines do not charge if you don't use your return ticket. I have worked in travel industry 25 years

To accomplish the second part is very easy. When making the reservation, whoever is making BOTH reservations, needs determine the flights, price it, then look at the seat map of the flight from LUX to MEM. You can see all available seats and determine which ones are next to each other. Finish the first reservation and then make the second reservation and selecting the seat next to each other. The other thing would be to make reservations and then contact the airline directly to co-ordinate seats. This will solve your challenge of sitting next to each other.

When my husband came here on his K1 visa, he flew Delta/KLM from Romania. We booked a round trip ticket because one way was twice as expensive - when I booked the return flight i just picked a random date as far in advance as it would let me. After he arrived and we got married I actually forgot about the return ticket, until I got a reminder email from delta about the upcoming trip. I called Delta and they said they couldn't refund the ticket ( understandable) but they did offer to let me re-book it for another date up until a year from the date it was purchased. We ended up not being able to use the ticket, we just let it expire, which was ok since it was still cheaper than purchasing one way.
