I need some clarity on the fees and process for the I-130. I know the filing fee for the I-130 application. From what I understand, after the NOA2 is issued, it is forwarded to the NVC, where there is an AOS fee of $70 and an IV fee of $400. I will be submitting two I-130 applications for my wife and step-daughter.

My questions:

1. Do the NVC fees apply to each person I am filing an I-130 for or will the payment of the fees for my wife's I-130 also cover the fees for my step-daughters I-130?

2. Are there any other fees I will be paying after the NVC's AOS and IV fee?

3. Once a visa is issued and they arrive in the USA on a CR-1, are there any other actions or fees I need to be aware of, or is that it until they potentially apply for citizenship?

Thanks so much in advance for your help!

hi

you might have been reading old material, because the costs have changed. always check the uscis website for current costs

the AOS costs $88 and the other packet $230 each

you are filing 2 separate petitions

You're right, I was referencing some info from a post I read here from a few years ago. Thanks for the info...I really appreciate it.

Any other feedback on the questions would be greatly appreciated.

Each petition requires its own fee. The visa fee is separate as well but the 88 aos fee covers both cases.

Ther is the $165 new immigrant fee that is requrired after the visa is issued so that they will produce the green card. That is also per person. If youve been married less than 2 years at POE you will have to remove conditions which is another $590.

This $590 fee has to be paid upon entry to the USA ?

No that's a removal of conditions. That's 90 days less than 2 years if the foreign spouse has a CR1 visa instead of an IR1 visa.

$165 has to be paid before or after entry to the USA to get the green card. Sometime within getting the visa and the first year of being in the USA.
