People of Visa Journey,

Here again to ask your support and advice. I am a K1 holder, I got married exact 28 days ago.. My honey and i celebrated our 1 month as a married couple last night <3.

I am really thankful for such a loving husband . Last week, i applied for my SSN,, they told me that it will arrive in 2 weeks...BTW they said that when it comes it will be with the names in my old documents, NOT with mine husband's last name... Did it happen to you as well ??? or is this state (PA) which i notice they make things too complicated , My husband and i have a long list of the reasons why !!.... Anyway.. Now i just realized that i need to get back on TRACK as far as my AOS package... and searching in this awesome site i found this information about how to proceed with my AOS .

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

but i just wanted to make sure that that link is UPDATED .. If you have gone through that step and could help me with a feed back would be so appreciated !

Yes, that is the guide to follow, but do not forget to also read the form instructions that you download directly from the USCIS website.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to AOS from Family Based Visas - topic is AOS, not K-1 ~

3. Form I-485: Petition for Alien Relative (note: use the non US Citizen spouse's married name on this form and list previous name/names)

You should actually use the married name on all 3 forms for AOS, if that is the name you will go by from now on.
