On the I-864, should my co-sponsor check 1.e. and choose "second of two joint sponsors," I (the petitioner) being the first?

Also, what should we put for part 5? The I and my wife do not live with the co-sponsor (nor am I or she related to him; he is a friend). Therefore part 5, #8 should be "2," correct?

Household size doesn't mean the number of people actually living in the same house. Its a term that means the number of people being supported. In the case of your co-sponsor, his household size is 2 because he is supporting himself AND your fiance. He could be living alone...he could be living with 10 other guys in a huge house...his household size will still only be the number of people he supports.

hi

so he is single and has no dependents?

if so he would put a 1 on point 1, enter the number you entered on line 7 part 3, that would be the person he is co sponsoring, meaning your wife

there is already a 1 for yourself, and then total 2 on point 8

Thank you everyone for clearing all that up! I was taking "household size" literally. Now, one more thing.

Part 3, #7 (optional). My wife and I live with my mother. My mother pays the rent and I pay credit cards and utilities, if relevant. Should I fill out an I-864A for my mother, even if it's optional?

hi

no, unless she is the one being your co sponsor. unless you are going to combine your income with hers then no

if you have a different joint sponsor then she doesn't need to fill out anything

Thanks, aleful.

Do I, as the primary sponsor, have to provide proof of citizenship? I am a U.S. citizen by naturalization. I don't see anything requiring me to provide proof of citizenship, so I wonder if I may be missing something. Should I provide my naturalization certificate (which I already included in our original K-1 petition)?

You do not need to include proof of citizenship, because you have to include your NOA2 from your approved I-129f petition. Since only US citizens can file the I-129f, your approval already proves you are a US citizen.

You already proved your citizenship with the I-129F petition. Only the joint sponsor needs to provide proof of being a USC or LPR.
