I filed my AoS package and got my receipts back with a date of 6 Nov. I received my EAD and AP card after 64 days which is about right. My status as far as the GC goes still says "acceptance" which is the first stage. Any idea how long it normally stays there before moving to "initial review".

It might stay in that status forever and not even change after your green card approval. The online status updates are not reliable at all.

~ Moved from AOS from Family Based main to Progress Reports sub-forum - topic is case status ~

Oh, My EAD and AP updates were spot on.

My husband's were spot on too, but on the greencard, it just arrived in the mailbox. Surprise ! No approval, no email or welcome letter, no status update. Thirteen months later I guess somebody was cleaning house and an email came saying the greencard had been issued. So I logged in to case status and finally it was updated. 13 months after he was an LPR.

In short, your mileage may vary. My status changed to T&I 2 weeks after the biometrics. The EAD/AP are still in Initial review, but our interview is in 2 weeks so I'm not too worried (no plan on switching employers and no plan on leaving the country before interview date).

Some stuff gets "stuck in traffic" for a while, but at least it's still at acceptance and not "Additional Request for Evidence".

Once it goes to T&I, you're now at the mercy of the local office as their backlog will determine when they schedule the interview.

Nobbie is adjusting from a K1 visa, so they might never get to the "Testing & Interview" stage as not all K1's have an interview.

My online status was in "Case not found" status until the day it got approved eight months later without an interview.
