Hi, I'm new to this forum.

I got an offer for H1-B visa with an annual salary of 50,000 USD, that will be 4166 USD/month in Utah for the position of Web Developer / Designer.

How much saving can I get out of 4166 / month considering the house rent cost, tax, car insurance, health insurance, food and petrol allowance?

Is that amount enough for us considering my wife won't be able to work?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

It also sounds like your $4166 a month may not include taxes that will be taken out of your pay cheque.

It is Ok, but don't count on savings. I assume you are living in a big city like Salt Lake?

Do you have kids?

Good luck

Keep in mind you paycheck will be much less than 4166 - you'll pay federal, state and local taxes out of it, social security (although I am not sure if H-1B pay into SS), some of your benefits may be paid from that too. It all depends on standard of living you're expecting - how much your housing payment is going to be, are you going to buy a car with monthly financing payments and so on. Also check on health insurance as with little baby you may need to see a doctor every once in a while - if your insurance has deductible, most of your initial visit will come straight out of your pocket and those tend to be not cheap in US.
