AOS w EAD/AP sent to Chicago 8 days ago overnight, STILL NO confirmation?

How long does it take for people to receive an email or text confirmation once they main AOS papers to Chicago Lockbox?

I mailed my big fat envelope with AOS/EAD/AP paperwork last Thursday, 8 days ago, via overnight mail w tracking.

I checked the next day and it said it was delivered right that Friday.

I had the e-notification form right on the top of my paperwork with my email and cellphone number.

It's been 7-8 days now and STILL NOTHING from Chicago. I'm getting worried I did something wrong?

How long should this take on average?

Ps. check hasnt been cashed yet either.

Suggest that you give it some time. Recently there has been some pretty severe winter weather in the Chicago area:

I suspect that has had an impact on a lot of things in Chicago, including snow-days off of work.

When we submitted our AOS packages in Aug 2012, it took about two weeks for us to receive the NOA1 receipts. We never did get the electronic notification of arrival. Lke you, thankfully, the USPS notified us of delivery.

USCIS Offices in Chicago have been closed for a couple of days from the winter storms, so it should be processed soon.

thanks guys, yes i ve been thinking it may have to do with holidays and/or weather and work over there being slow due to it...i ll just wait i guess

I mailed mine Dec 31 and just got txt notification. Still haven't received paper NOA1 yet. They have cashed my check. That was just done yesterday.

Hi All.. I am a bit worried too.. I have mailed my packet on Dec 21 and it was delivered the next business day.. till date I haven't received any notification.. no text nor mail..

I got paper NOA1 today. That's 12 days from sending the packet, which I sent express mail. I would assume the wait would be longer if you didn't use an overnight or 2 day service.

HK, would there be any way for you to inquire about it? I'm not sure what you could use as a reference except your tracking number from USPS.
